Este parte reflexiva debe tratar de la migración con el tema del sujeto migrante, de la consideración al otro en literatura y poesía a partir de un país dentro de los 7 países cabidos por este trabajo en la zona istmíca (Belice, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panamá).

Image, Cinema & Politics: the Avant-Garde Dilemma in the Interwar Period (1918-1936)
In this publication we would like to explore the relation between the post-1918 crisis of the liberal system and the use of art and image as political media including its nationalist, gender and class discourses since they reflect the political and economic transformations of the post-war years. Art and cinema allow us to observe processes such as accelerated urbanisation, electrification and the automobile revolution, the incorporation of women into the waged- labour market or class struggles, all of which fed the insecurity and anxiety of industrialised societies which sought shelter in growing protectionism and corporatism.

Eschatology is one of the central components of medieval Christian culture. The end of the world, the Last Judgment, salvation, Messianism, the Antichrist, the Apocalypticism and millenarianism are inescapable elements in what we may generally describe as "Medieval eschatology". It is the intention of the International Conference "The Medieval Eschatology" to provide a venue for reflecting on these as well as other eschatological issues that may be proposed. This can be done analytically or descriptively from both a practical and theoretical approach.

Les XIVe journées Complutenses d'art médiéval proposent d'aborder la question de la matérialité comme facteur essentiel de la production artistique, ainsi que la poétique de l'immatérialité et la dimension intangible de l'expérience esthétique au cours du Moyen Âge. Les propositions de communication autour des thèmes suivants sont bienvenues : conditions matérielles de la création artistique ; pratiques et moyens sous-estimés ; utilisations poétiques et sémantiques du matériel et de l'immatériel ; histoire culturelle des matériaux ; sensorialité et immatérialité ; « transmatérialité » et « transmédialité ».

Imagined Identities and Communities in the Late Middle Ages
On December 9 and 10 of this year, the “Cultures i Societats de l'Edat Mitjana” (CiSEM) research group, led by Dr. Antoni Furió, professor of medieval history at the University of Valencia, will hold a conference with the title: Imagined Identities and Imagined Communities in the Late Middle Ages. Far from being strictly contemporary creations, nations, the most elaborated product of imagined communities, had their relevance throughout the medieval centuries. The most recent historiography has tried to establish the mechanisms that contributed to building this type of imaginary in which, according to some anthropologists, sociologists and political scientists, collective identities are taking an increasingly prominent role in international geopolitics. For this reason, this process is presented as a great opportunity to discuss the most recent historiographical contributions, and to try to shed more light on a transcendental historical phenomenon on the evolution of human societies.

Meeting with the writer Pablo Landeo and the presentation of his Quechua language novel "Aqupampa"
L'association Amériques de l'INALCO en partenariat avec l'ambassade du Pérou en France proposent une rencontre avec l'écrivain Pablo Landeo Muñoz et la présentation de son roman en quechua Aqupampa. Carlos Amézaga, ministre conseiller à l’ambassade du Pérou, prononcera un discours d’ouverture. La présentation du roman sera faite par César Itier (INALCO). Elle sera suivie d’un dialogue avec l’auteur Pablo Landeo Muñoz et d’une lecture d’extraits du roman (surtitrés en français). Cette rencontre sera clôturée par un concert de musique andine proposé par le groupe Paris Andes.

Spaces, territories and imagination in films about or from the past
Call for papers for the thematic issue “Spaces, Territories and Imagination in Films about or from the Past”. The articles selected for the issue should contribute to the debates and reflections over space, territories and the way they are conceptualized and imagined in films that represent the past or historical films. This thematic issuewill be published in Nuevo Mundo Mundos Nuevos Journal and is coordinated by Paz Escobar (Universidad Nacional de la Patagonia San Juan Bosco, Argentina) and Claudia Bossay (ICEI, Universidad de Chile, Chile).

V congreso internacional del Observatorio de la alimentación y la fundación Alicia
El patrimonio alimentario, como el «patrimonio» en general, ha sido considerado tanto como una construcción socio-cultural, con capacidad para representar simbólicamente una identidad, como una industria de valores añadidos. Por parte de numerosos gobiernos, estatales o regionales, existe una voluntad de conocer el patrimonio alimentario de las poblaciones con el propósito de proponer políticas de fomento productivo y de iniciar procesos de desarrollo local mediante la valorización de los productos y cocinas locales. Las gastronomías locales forman parte, cada vez más, de los recursos susceptibles de ser explotados por parte de la oferta turística. Turismo y restauración no solamente contribuyen a la valoración de la cocina tradicional y a su posible recuperación si no, también, a su transformación y redefinición, bajo parámetros diversos y, a veces, contradictorios: por un lado, «selección», «reducción» y «simplificación» de aquellos platos y productos considerados representativos; y por otro, «idealización», «replicación» y generalización...

Revista “La región central”, vol. 1 no. 1
This first issue of La región central explores the idea of intervention: reciprocal interventions between cinema and contemporary art, but also interventions on the social sphere that may help think the political dimension of contemporary art practices. We propose a monographic issue attending to the political dimension of cinema and contemporary art relations through theoretical and more practical, case oriented critical approaches. We seek to interrogate not just the textual dimensions or phenomenological frames of apprehension of moving images, but also their poetics of production and their potential to critically intervene the social sphere.

Lorsque le XIXe siècle arrivait à sa première moitié, les rives du Rio de la Plata deviennnent le théâtre d’un jeu sophistiqué mené, entre autres, par les populations criollas installées dans le bassin platense, les immigrés récemment arrivés d’horizons divers, les États européens monarchiques, les forces libérales et bonapartistes qui s’y opposent, l’Église, les cercles éclairés anticléricaux, les États américains qui viennent d'être créés. C’est dans cet espace fait de rencontres, de conflits et de mélanges de langues et d’idéaux qu’est né à Montevideo Isidore Ducasse, comte de Lautréamont, auteur d’une œuvre, les Chants de Maldoror, qui s’est révélée être la réécriture d’une tradition et la matière d’un avenir, toujours ouverte à des réinterprétations, à des recréations, à des versions et à des traductions.

Vigo, the Instituto de Historia del Arte Argentino y Americano (IHAAA) dependent on the Secretaría de Ciencia y Técnica of the Facultad de Bellas Artes (UNLP) invites researchers in art history, visual studies and art theory to submit proposals focused on his work and the issues he raised throughout his career. The International symposium on and from Edgardo Antonio Vigo convenes to discuss and reflect on the legacy of the artist, considering specific aspects of his production, as well as possible projections of these issues in contemporary art.

La preservación digital es un tema que atañe a bibliotecas, archivos, museos y galerías y que hasta ahora se ha trabajado de forma aislada. Se han buscado soluciones parciales y fragmentarias, sin embargo, cada vez es más evidente la necesidad de emprender proyectos de colaboración para crear estrategias, investigaciones y plataformas digitales que sean comunes para colecciones librarias, impresas, sonoras, audiovisuales y fotográficas. No es posible seguir manteniendo silos digitales, es necesario que las instituciones de la memoria se comuniquen y diseñen las estrategias a través de las cuales se garantice la permanencia de los contenidos a largo plazo. Bajo estas consideraciones se llevará a cabo el II congreso internacional de archivos digitales. Conectando los saberes de bibliotecas, archivos, museos y galerías para la preservación digital.

Utopian Imaginaries: Past, Present and Future
By announcing this international conference on Utopian Imaginaries we aim to establish a link between the past and the present in which the former may help to understand the sense and the importance of utopia in the modern world and, at the same time, inspire the development of new utopian perspectives. We wish to open a space for critical dialogue in which the work of researchers intersects with the presentation of utopian proposals and experiences by social activists. Thus, the call is directed both to researchers interested in utopian imaginaries from the perspective of History and other social and human sciences, and to the spokespeople of movements and experiences who claim a utopian horizon in any country.
