Com esta conferência internacional, propõe-se assim estimular uma perspectiva comparatista, interdisciplinar, transnacional e intermedia das poesias performativas, focando filiações, movimentos de circulação, intercâmbios entre poetas, formas artísticas e países, fenómenos de contaminação, de transposição mediática e de remediação, centrados nos séculos XX e XXI, com o objectivo de contribuir para uma visão alargada e renovada das várias formas de definir e praticar a poesia no mundo contemporâneo.

Thinking Latin-American Right-Wings in the XXth Century
This conference is the continuation of two previous conferences held in France (2014) and Argentina (2016) which saw the gradual emergence of a community of researchers working on the questions of identities, ideas, practices and discourses of actors and movements from Latin American rightwing. It is difficult to establish the precise conceptual limits of the rightwing because of the heterogeneity and plurality of the groups and movements that have historically been part of this family and which are thus characterized by the presence of diverse political traditions. It is therefore essential to imagine flexible boundaries when considering rightwing history and taking into account the changes it experienced over time. Our purpose is not to establish canonical definitions, but rather to contribute to set general frameworks for this field of study whose historical relevance and actuality are no longer to be demonstrated, but whose limits and fundamental characteristics are still debated.

2nd Congress International of Social Networks
Social networks occupy today an unprecedented centrality in developed societies. They are one of the most important components in the structure of social relations between people and organizations, through which they share values, expectations, interests and an immensity of flows that place them at a high level of complexity. Knowing and understanding this complexity, as well as the social networks and the multiplicity of configurations that are inherent to them, is one of the biggest challenges of our times. Today, talking about social networks, puts us on a new paradigm in the social sciences. In the dynamics of social relations, the actors involved in it, develop their interactions driven by diverse logics and strategies of action, putting challenges in their analysis and understanding to social intervenors and the academic community. It is in this context that the 2nd edition of CIReS.

This panel is meant to discuss these migrating populations’ mobility procedures in lusophone countries, while seeking to construct through the different presentations a broaden mosaic of reflexions about when and how these populations have moved, and how they have used and instrumentalized the "imagined" and politically constructed idea of a "lusophone community".

Durante este evento, que se realiza pela primeira vez em Portugal, serão analisados assuntos relacionados com o corrente"programa-quadro 2020" da União Europeia e o papel dos investigadores na construção de uma sociedade europeia com base na inovação sustentável.

Sensing the city: explorations in sensory ethnography
The conference aims to explore the relation between urban places and sensory experiences, drawing attention to the many dimensions of life in the city, mainly those that are rendered by the sense. We are guided by two main questions: What’s the role of the senses in framing, attributing meaning and changing collective and subjective experiences of city dwellers? And what is the relevant impact of sensory registration and analysis on the way of doing ethnography? Our objective is to gather researchers working on urban settings through ethnographic approaches. The senses will be considered both as an epistemological proposal – through which one sees the urban phenomena – and a methodological approach to the city.

A Conferência pública compreenderá três partes. A primeira parte compreenderá apresentações com uma perspetiva mais conceptual nas áreas da organização e gestão públicas, que proporcionará um enquadramento adequado para a segunda parte, dedicada à análise e discussão de casos de sucesso da reforma do sector público em três países (Austrália, Canadá e Suécia). Finalmente, será promovida uma mesa redonda de discussão sobre as lições a retirar para o caso português, para a qual serão selecionadas algumas das questões propostas neste sítio (“Questões para discussão”).

As últimas três décadas têm sido férteis em estudos e publicações sobre a questão da literatura de viagens, abordando a viagem nos seus mais variados sentidos. Já a relação entre literatura e turismo, que passa pela literatura de viagens, mas não se esgota de forma alguma nesta, não foi ainda alvo de um estudo sistemático e intensivo. Um trabalho que é fundamental para a afirmação da literatura e turismo enquanto área de estudo e para a demonstração da sua importância, nomeadamente no que concerne à valorização de um património tangível e intangível que de outro modo, por falta de conexões, pode ser subvalorizado e/ou esquecido. -

Local vocabularies of “heritage”: Variations, Negotiations, Transformations
First congress of the Network of the Researchers on Heritagisations and the Centro Interdisciplinar de História, Culturas e Sociedades da Universidade de Évora. The central idea of this symposium is to carry out an international comparison of vocabulary variants and local linguistic uses of "heritage", both in the context of contact with international institutions and in the limited one of indigenous and customary uses. The symposium therefore proposes to take seriously the emic definitions and redefinitions of "indigenous terms" and to draw up a critical inventory of them, by going beyond the fiction of a continuous and globalized homogeneous "heritage" field. A comparative analysis and the confrontation of related concepts in the different local vocabularies would also make it possible to get the measure of the transactions, mutations, misunderstandings and transfers that may arise from the global contact initiated in cultural exchanges over the last two centuries. -

Identities and Limits
In the year which marks the 900th anniversary of the birth of the first King of Portugal, Afonso Henriques, the Centro de História of the Faculdade de Letras of Lisbon, decided, within the frame of its Research Group on Identity Models, to host an International Meeting in which experts on the construction and legitimation of new or renewed political entities and bodies, during the 12th and 13th centuries, as well as on the theoretical support for such development, might meet in order to debate and compare both the forms and the mechanisms involved in the construction of these new political realities and relationship between powers, which strangely enough seem to assume quite similar features in Medieval West during that period.
