  Christianity, language contact, language change

  The present workshop addresses questions of language contact and language change, as well as language standardization in the Christian context both in Europe and in the New World (Americas, Africa) through a study of diachronic and synchronic corpora. Special attention is paid, on the one hand, to the role of translation as a sight of language contact, and on the other hand, to register variation as an indicator of differential propagation of innovations appeared in Christian context.

  When the Argentine Roberto Fontanarrosa passed away in 2007, a national day of mourning was declared and his funeral was attended by thousands. Although Fontanarrosa was much loved and both the man and his works have received public recognition time and again, there are very few published academic works on his œuvre to this day. This proposed anthology seeks to fill this gap by paying attention to Fontanarrosa’s work as a whole

  Organisée conjointement par le GERM (Groupe d'enseignement et de recherche maya) et l'association Wayeb (association des mayanistes européens), la treizième conférence se compose de quatre jours d'ateliers d'épigraphie et d'iconographie maya, ouverts à tous et de niveaux différents (débutant, intermédiaire, avancé), suivis de deux jours de colloque sur le thème de la vie quotidienne en pays maya.
