  La revue électronique Lexis – Journal in English Lexicology mettra en ligne en 2020 son numéro 16, co-dirigé par Chris Smith (Université de Caen) et Sylvie Hancil (Université de Rouen). Celui-ci sera consacré à la « sémantique lexicale diachronique ». Ce sujet inclut bien évidemment les questions lexico-grammaticales et l’interface lexique- grammaire (questions de grammaticalisation et de lexicalisation des formes).

  The Why Linguistics Conference

  This conference proposes a constructive take on the question "Why?", as in, why are we doing what we are doing as linguists, and what is our contribution to knowledge? Or, equally well, what is the contribution of a particular domain of linguistics to other disciplines, and in turn, their contribution to linguistics? To what end do linguistics and any such neighboring fields of research or industry converge in their methods, results and problem setting? We welcome ideas both from within the linguistics community and fields of research or industry that involve the study of human language.

  Grammar and genre: interfaces and influences

  This symposium aims to study the interfaces between grammar and genre: the purpose is to investigate how genre affects grammatical choices. How are genre distinctions reflected in grammar, be it for example literary vs. media genres, or distinctions such as argumentative, informative, persuasive, expressive, or narrative genres? Is a specific genre belonging to a particular domain, e.g. sport news vs. economy news, characterized by certain grammatical choices? Possible genre distinctions are various, and both empirical questions related to the theme and more theoretical implications and reflections thereof are welcome.

  Conférences de Peter Scharf (chaire Blaise Pascal)

  Monsieur Peter Scharf, titulaire d'une chaire de recherche internationale Blaise Pascal et hébergé (2012-2013) à ce titre, par le laboratoire d'histoire des théories linguistiques (CNRS, Paris 7, Paris 3), donnera une série de conférences – en binôme avec un autre intervenant – sur le thème de la linguistique computationnelle du sanskrit.
