  V congreso internacional «Deporte, dopaje y sociedad»

  El V Congreso Internacional «Deporte, Dopaje y Sociedad» está organizado conjuntamente por la Universidad Politécnica de Madrid y la Agencia Española de Protección de la Salud en el Deporte. Bajo el lema Think Clean, se pretende la puesta en común de resultados de investigaciones científicas y nuevas metodologías en el ámbito del dopaje en el deporte. Desde la perspectiva específica de las ciencias humanas y sociales, creemos que esta iniciativa permitirá conocer los factores que inciden en la utilización de métodos y sustancias dopantes. A partir de este conocimiento esperamos fomentar futuras acciones de prevención y control del dopaje y promover comportamientos éticos en el deporte.

  The Why Linguistics Conference

  This conference proposes a constructive take on the question "Why?", as in, why are we doing what we are doing as linguists, and what is our contribution to knowledge? Or, equally well, what is the contribution of a particular domain of linguistics to other disciplines, and in turn, their contribution to linguistics? To what end do linguistics and any such neighboring fields of research or industry converge in their methods, results and problem setting? We welcome ideas both from within the linguistics community and fields of research or industry that involve the study of human language.

  First International Conference on the Science and Practice of Sports Refereeing

  The aim of this conference is to provide researchers studying sport refereeing with a discussion space in order to increase and improve the scientific network in this area. This network is then expected to answer new queries and to meet the practical challenges of sport refereeing. The scope of this conference includes a broad range of work which contributes to a greater understanding of refereeing performance and/or provides some directions for the development of this area. This conference will take place the 22-24 September 2014 in Clermont-Ferrand (France).

  Les vingt dernières années ont vu la dissolution de l’URSS, de la Yougoslavie et de nombreuses guerres et conflits ont agité la planète dans différentes régions du monde (Irak, Afghanistan, Tchétchénie, Israël, Palestine, Somalie, etc...). Le colloque propose de s’intéresser aux différents moyens esthétiques mis en œuvre pour représenter la guerre : films, romans, récits, bandes dessinées, photographie, reportages.
