Nei giorni del 28 febbraio e del 1 marzo, l'Università degli Studi di Napoli «Parthenope» ospiterà il Convegno internazionale e interdisciplinare «Uguaglianza, discriminazioni e identità di genere tralingue, dati e rappresentazioni» che intende delineare alcune delle più importanti questioni di interpretazione linguistica, economica e storico-culturale sul genere e le sessualità riguardo alla popolazione LGBT+.

This meeting aims to foster a discussion about the continuities and disruptions which have conditioned the multi-ethnic dimension of our cities. We would like to focus on the specificities of places and time in our millennial history that have produced both tangible and intangible cultural heritage (a heritage which today seems strongly under attack). We aim for a historical perspective – by drawing attention on well-documented case-studies offering comparative insights – without however forgetting to ask ourselves the meaning of our research in the troubled world we live in; without anachronisms, but also without hiding behind the pretext of specialisms, while in front of our eyes the Mediterranean world is more than ever a theatre of death, exclusion, suffering.

Il 28 ottobre 2011 ricorre il decennale della scomparsa di Giuseppe Gigliozzi. La sua figura di studioso e di docente ha rappresentato un punto di riferimento fondamentale per lo sviluppo dell'Informatica Umanistica in Italia. Per ricordare la sua figura, DigLab (http://digilab.uniroma1.it/) Mediateca delle Scienze umanistiche dell’Università di Roma La Sapienza e la Facoltà di Lettere e Filosofia dell’Università Roma Tor Vergata, con il patrocinio dell'Associazione per l'Informatica Umanistica e la Cultura Digitale, organizzano un convegno di studi che si svolgerà nelle rispettive sedi nei giorni 27 e 28 ottobre. I lavori si articoleranno in tre sessioni tematiche.
