  The drudges of the Axis : exploitable persecuted persons and ambivalent persecutors during WWII (Asia, Europe, Latin America)

  This meeting is a continuation of the UFA (French-German University) Montpellier-Weimar Colloquium "Construction of myths of war heroes (Germany, France, Japan) organized by Philippe Wellnitz and Gérard Siary in Berlin in 2014. After having there discussed the ambivalence in the construction of "war-heroe", this new conference is interested this time in two other ambivalences associated with the Second World War: those of the positioning of certain host states and "the ethics of survival" of persecuted persons who fled from Axis-occupied territories to other Axis-allied or to neutral States.

  Two perspectives on the daily life of the people. The visions of Albert Kahn and Shibusawa Keizô

  アルベール・カーンと渋沢敬三の庶民生活への眼差し

  Le Musée départemental Albert-Kahn situé à Boulogne-Billancourt et fondé au début du XX^e siècle par Albert Kahn (1860-1940) expose un fonds unique de documents photographiques et filmographiques réalisés par des photographes envoyés dans le monde entier à la demande de cet entrepreneur. Au Japon, l'ethnologue Shibusawa Keizô (1896-1963), petit-fils de Shibusawa Ei.ichi qui avait bien connu Albert Kahn, s'est lui aussi intéressé de près à la culture matérielle des habitants  au Japon et en Asie, parallèlement à ses activités financières. À l'occasion du cinquantenaire de sa disparition, les chercheurs japonais s'interrogent sur les relations et influences qui se sont nouées entre ces deux entrepreneurs-mécènes.
