Colloque annuel de l'Association canadienne de communication (ACC) 2021
Placé sous le thème des relations nordiques, le congrès 2021 incite les congressistes à explorer les liens entre les peuples, les collectivités, les cultures et les formes de savoir, tout en se penchant sur certains des défis les plus pressants auxquels le Nord est confronté en matière de relations humaines et au territoire : changement climatique, gouvernance, justice sociale, réconciliation, réciprocité et éducation, entre autres. Une relation n’est pas qu’une association ou une affiliation. C’est aussi un acte qui consiste à dire ou à rendre compte. Les relations sont au coeur de la manière dont les peuples communiquent, organisent leur savoir et parviennent à cerner leur place dans le monde.

Que révèlent les lettres, les journaux intimes, les mémoires et autres auto-documents oubliés ?
Le projet du colloque sera d'examiner le regard sur l'Autre, français ou états-uniens de la part de voyageurs mexicains, politiques, intellectuels et anonymes pouur la période 1821-1950 sur la base d'écrits du for intérieur : correspondances, journaux intimes, mémoires, sans exclure les chroniques et les documents publiés dans la presse mexicaine sur la France et les États-Unis de la période considérée.

La preservación digital es un tema que atañe a bibliotecas, archivos, museos y galerías y que hasta ahora se ha trabajado de forma aislada. Se han buscado soluciones parciales y fragmentarias, sin embargo, cada vez es más evidente la necesidad de emprender proyectos de colaboración para crear estrategias, investigaciones y plataformas digitales que sean comunes para colecciones librarias, impresas, sonoras, audiovisuales y fotográficas. No es posible seguir manteniendo silos digitales, es necesario que las instituciones de la memoria se comuniquen y diseñen las estrategias a través de las cuales se garantice la permanencia de los contenidos a largo plazo. Bajo estas consideraciones se llevará a cabo el II congreso internacional de archivos digitales. Conectando los saberes de bibliotecas, archivos, museos y galerías para la preservación digital.

The Crisis Communication Working Group aims to provide a forum for scholars researching the mediation of political and economic crisis, wars and terrorism, disasters, catastrophes and risks, combining global and local perspectives. We adopt a broad understanding of crisis communication with theoretical contributions from different perspectives and disciplines and hope to stimulate fruitful discussions about threat-image constructions and the consequences for democracy and civil rights.

Conference of the International Association for Media and Communication Research (IAMCR) 2015
The Comic Art Working Group, founded in 1984 by John A. Lent, is celebrating its thirtieth anniversary. As part of that occasion, the group hopes to have a full program of papers for the 2015 IAMCR conference in Montreal. Papers on any aspect of comic art are requested, such as political, advertising, or gag cartoons, newspaper strips, comic books, graphic novels, humor /cartoon periodicals, animation, and caricature.
