Un colloque sur les problèmes actuels de la bibliothéconomie européenne
The New Shape of Sharing: Networks, Expertise, Information continues conversations begun at the New Directions Symposium held in Frankfurt in 2017. This multi-day forum of panel presentations, a poster session, and interactive breakout sessions on key issues facing Western European collections and public services will encourage both structured and unstructured debate. We will advance our understanding of the challenges and initiate action in three areas: design new models for collaborative collection development and services; explore a growing range of content and format types and what they mean for libraries and researchers, and highlight the evolving role of libraries and librarians in the research process.

La presse francophone dans les Amériques
La culture et la langue françaises ont joué un rôle important dans le monde, tout particulièrement dans la presse du XIXe siècle, phénomène qui s’étend jusqu’au milieu du XXe siècle et s’est développée grâce à l’expansion des moyens techniques de production et de communication, permettant la circulation des modèles de presse et des sujets traités, ainsi que la constitution d’imaginaires mondialisés. Ce congrès est ainsi consacré à rassembler des chercheurs dédiés à l’étude de la presse périodique francophone dans les Amériques du XIXe et début du XXe siècle, comme journaux, revues et almanachs.

Uno de los principales propósitos del conversatorio es acercar a investigadores y estudiantes los debates y problemáticas que tienen lugar en el campo de la literatura y el arte digital desde una perspectiva analítica, crítica y reflexiva, orientando el pensamiento hacia el ámbito específico de la producción artificial de sensibilidades, con el objetivo de afianzar el crecimiento y el desarrollo de un área de estudios aún incipiente.

Regards sur les Amériques
A l’occasion de son 11ème numéro, RITA propose d’interroger dans sa section théma les liens entre pouvoir et médias dans les Amériques. Plusieurs pistes de réflexion peuvent d’ores et déjà être évoquées sans pour autant êtres exclusives. Des articles qui porteront sur l’analyse critique des médias officiels ou sur les médias d’opposition, dans des contextes historiques et géographiques variés, seront naturellement les bienvenus. D’autres contributions pourront porter sur les effets des différentes formes de traitement médiatique réservées aux mouvement populaires. Des analyses critiques sur les relations entre médias et pouvoirs économiques sont également encouragées. Le dossier pourra également intégrer des réflexions sur la diversification récente des médias d’information, en se focalisant par exemple sur l’émergence des médias « alternatifs » sur Internet, ou traiter également du pouvoir des fake news dans la construction des représentations collectives.

The Crisis Communication Working Group aims to provide a forum for scholars researching the mediation of political and economic crisis, wars and terrorism, disasters, catastrophes and risks, combining global and local perspectives. Conference of the International Association for Media and Communication Research (IAMCR) 2015
The Comic Art Working Group, founded in 1984 by John A. Lent, is celebrating its thirtieth anniversary. As part of that occasion, the group hopes to have a full program of papers for the 2015 IAMCR conference in Montreal. Papers on any aspect of comic art are requested, such as political, advertising, or gag cartoons, newspaper strips, comic books, graphic novels, humor /cartoon periodicals, animation, and caricature.
