  Five research assistant positions for the project "Decoding Antisemitsm"

  For a 3-year research project on anti-semitic hate speech and hate images on the internet, research assistants are wanted. A qual­it­at­ive lin­guistic con­tent ana­lysis of social media com­ments and analysis of image mater­ial and text-image rela­tion­ships related to anti­semitic con­tent is planned. In addi­tion, quant­it­at­ive lin­guistic meth­ods will also be applied to the social media cor­pus. For the coun­try teams we are seek­ing two doc­toral stu­dents for the Eng­lish lan­guage area, two for the French lan­guage area and one for the Ger­man lan­guage area.

  Zur DARIAH-DE Grand Tour 2018 sind alle an den digitalen Geistes- und Kulturwissenschaften Interessierten eingeladen, sich mit dem abwechslungsreichen Programm aus beispielsweise Workshops, Paneldiskussion und einer Postersession über DARIAH-DE und darüber hinaus über Digital Humanities zu informieren und sich auszutauschen.Die Entwicklung einer modernen Forschungsinfrastruktur in den Geistes- und Kulturwissenschaften ist das zentrale Ziel von DARIAH-DE. Mithilfe digitaler Ressourcen und Methoden unterstützt DARIAH-DE die Forschenden in der Lehre und Forschung sowie im Umgang mit und bei der Speicherung von Forschungsdaten.

  Digital Humanities – Opportunities and Risks. Connecting Libraries and Research

  Digital Humanities is widely understood to mean the use of computer-aided and data-driven research methods and techniques in both the arts and humanities. Some examples of this are critical editions, lexicographical projects, as well as the historical reception of large-scale collections, whether of visual objects or literary textual corpora. But intrinsic to the digitally-enabled arts and humanities are the holdings and collections offered up to researchers by libraries and other cultural heritage and memory institutions. In addition academic libraries also have an integrating role to play between the researcher, the interested public and the collections not only of libraries, but also of museums and archives especially, where strong regional cooperation or collaborations across borders have been established. Essential to this for this role are services that present appropriately curated digitized materials and provide access to them.

  Les « interfaces numériques » dans la recherche d'aujourd'hui

  Atelier du neuvième congrès de l’Association des francoromanistes allemands

  Les chercheurs et chercheuses dans le domaine de la langue, de la littérature et de la culture françaises et francophones peuvent de plus en plus utiliser, dans leurs travaux, des représentations numériques de leurs objets de recherche. Ces nouveaux objets de recherche impliquent également que de nouvelles méthodes de recherches soient développées et mises en œuvre à l’aide d’outils divers. Dans ce contexte, nous proposons de reprendre à Milhad Doueihi le concept des « interfaces numériques » et de le concrétiser dans le contexte de la recherche en sciences humaines.
