Water in north western European cities in the early Middle Ages (4th-12th centuries)
A vector of transformation of the urban space
Starting from the premise that a variety of towns existed during the early Middle Ages (towns of Roman origin, or growing up around a monastery, a defensive site or an economic hub), we propose to assess, in North-West Europe, the role of water in these towns at three progressive levels: i) that of different users within a town, ii) at the level of the town as a whole, and iii) in the creation of urban networks. Our purpose is to draw together the most recent research, highlighting this subject through archaeological discoveries as well as critical analysis of written sources.

Dans le cadre du programme de recherche d'intérêt régional « Recherche en Images : Tours Archéologique », un poste d'ingénieur d'étude est à pourvoir pour 1 an (renouvelable) à l'UMR 7324 CITERES–Laboratoire Archéologie et Territoires, à partir du 1er mars 2019. La mission principale est de développer une plateforme permettant la mise en ligne d'un corpus d'images patrimoniales d'archéologie.

The progress in research into inhumation practices since Prehistory, new data for new referentials
En archéologie funéraire les typo-chronologies sont mises en œuvre selon différentes approches, de l’ensemble des éléments constitutifs de la tombe à une partie d'entre eux. Les référentiels typo-chronologiques à disposition des archéologues sont parfois anciens. Les avancées récentes de la recherche, dues en particulier à l’essor de l’archéologie préventive, ont permis la production d’une documentation renouvelée, dont des vestiges bien datés, notamment grâce à la multiplication des analyses radiocarbones. Ces nouvelles données doivent pouvoir contribuer à l’établissement ou à la réactualisation d’outils typo-chronologiques.

Archaeology study days of the Centre-Val de Loire region
Ces journées à vocation scientifique, ont lieu annuellement depuis 1972 et se tiennent dans une ville différente chaque année, en fonction de l’actualité, pour couvrir l’ensemble des départements de la région. Ouvertes à tous, elles rassemblent les archéologues professionnels et amateurs intervenants sur la région et un large public. Elles sont l'occasion de présenter les acquis récents de la recherche archéologique programmée et préventive dans la région.

Publication of archeological data in the kinked Open Data
The aim of this international one year long post-doctoral project is to generalize the LAT’s archaeological data publication in the Linked Open Data (LOD), as a proof of concept for the French archeological community. This interdisciplinary project is conducted in collaboration with the computer science laboratory (LI) and the center for the Renaissance study (CESR) of the University of Tours, which leads the Intelligence des Patrimoines (I-Pat) program of the Centre-Val-de-Loire Region. It will benefit from the inclusion in the national network of the consortium Mémoire des Archéologues et des Sites Archéologiques (MASA) of the TGIR Huma-Num. More generally, this post-doctorate project should contribute to the emergence of the "Heritage" domain in the Linked Open Data cloud.

Le consortium Mémoires des archéologues et des sites archéologiques (MASA) est né à la fin de l’année 2012 de l’expérience acquise par et au sein de plusieurs Maisons des Sciences de l’Homme dans le domaine de l’archéologie et du traitement de la documentation produite par les archéologues. Le consortium MASA organise trois journées sur l’interopérabilité des données.

Essor et renaissances de l'Antiquité tardive à nos jours
La bibliographie concernant saint Martin est immense mais les thèmes de recherche sont également extrêmement nombreux. Ce colloque souhaite aborder la « figure martinienne » dans toute son ampleur et tout son rayonnement. Plusieurs disciplines scientifiques, histoire, archéologie, histoire de l’art, études littéraires, ethnologie et anthropologie, théologie, économie politique, sont conviées à converger sur quelques thèmes fondamentaux.

La figure martinienne, essor et renaissances de l'Antiquité tardive à nos jours
As part of the Saint Martin's year 2016 (1700th anniversary of the birth of Saint Martin), an international conference will be held at the University of Tours on the theme of “Saint Martin, expansion and revivals in his popularity from the origins to the present day”. The conference concerns not only the historical field but archeology, art history, sociology, theology, literary studies. The focus will be on the lesser known aspects of the theme, e.g. the revivals of saint Martin's cult in some regions of Europe at different periods; or ethnological and anthropological dimensions and their impact on art and literature; or theological appropriation of the saint Martin's figure.
