The development of intercultural issues in engineer training
DEIFI2020 Workshop
L’intérêt de ce workshop est de proposer, pendant deux jours, un travail collectif sous forme de recherche-action sur ces différents enjeux interculturels. Nous invitons une cinquantaine de participants à contribuer à cette réflexion à travers cinq ateliers thématiques. Chaque atelier sera limité à dix participants venant d’horizons divers. Ce travail en atelier sera ponctué par deux conférences ainsi qu’une table ronde réunissant des ingénieurs et industriels qui viendront témoigner de leurs expériences. Le livrable attendu est de produire collectivement un document écrit présentant non seulement les principaux enjeux liés à l’interculturalité dans la formation et les pratiques professionnelles des ingénieurs, mais faisant aussi des recommandations pour la prise en compte de ces enjeux ainsi que des pistes d’actions et de collaborations possibles.

20 years after the signing of the Bologna Process, the time seems right to take stock of its implementation. The aim is to focus on its procedural dimension and on the organisational and/or strategic developments and responses to its implementation by the higher education institutions concerned. The focus on the Bologna Process cannot be exclusively managerial. The implementation of the Bologna Process, which is non-prescriptive, with national variations often induced by specific policies, has often encountered difficulties in terms of ownership and legitimization by actors in higher education systems, which ultimately raises the issue of the effectiveness of the Process. It is also interesting to study universities as actors and producers of discourse in relation to European integration.

The expansion and culture of herbs around the world - text and image
From the peaks of the Himalaya to the Mediterranean Sea, from the outset of the Silk Road to the far reaches of the Eurasian continent, the economy and culture of herbs has expanded over the course of time. Whether used as common products of consumption or considered as rare and valuable commodities, sold in their raw form or transformed, these medicinal or aromatic herbs have become precious cultural ambassadors in encounters with more and more faraway horizons. This book project centers on the idea of herbs as vectors of encounters and cultural exchanges. Indeed, the expansion and use of herbs around the world have led to the emergence of interacting and expanding cultural practices. The focus will be on defining the specific fields pertaining to the knowledge of herbs, with a particular interest in their cultivation, harvesting, commercialisation and circulation.

La revue Éthique publique consacrera son premier numéro de l’année 2018 à la délicate question des enjeux et dilemmes éthiques et déontologiques soulevés par la dynamique d’interface politico-administrative au sein des États démocratiques. Le présent appel à contribution vise à recueillir des propositions d’articles sur un aspect qui conditionne cet espace, soit l’encadrement juridique (hard law et soft law) et les directives qui règlent le pilotage et les pratiques de ces rapports obligés.

Call for papers - Political studies
L’ambition de ce colloque est de présenter et d'analyser les évolutions des différentes formes de diplomatie : nouvelles formes de diplomatie régalienne (diplomatie 2.0), d’État ou supranationale, nouveaux acteurs, nouveaux territoires de l’action diplomatique, nouveaux champs et pratiques (économiques, stratégiques, d'entreprises, parlementaires, sportive, publique, etc.). Les présentations et les échanges feront l’objet d’une valorisation, sous forme en particulier de publications, et pourront également permettre la mise en place d’une recherche collective. Le colloque aura lieu le 25 octobre à Banska Bystrica (Slovaquie) et les propositions (résumés) sont à adresser avant le 25 septembre 2017.

Alors que nos sociétés sont hyper connectées grâce aux technologies numériques de l’information et de la communication, et que nos connaissances sur l’autre sont croissantes grâce aux apports des recherches sur l’interculturel, cet ouvrage collectif propose d’examiner comment le couple distance-proximité reconfigure à diverses échelles le lien social. Les contributions devront répondre à la question suivante : « comment la reconfiguration de la distance modifie-t-elle le lien social dans les sociétés contemporaines ? ».

Les spécialistes de tous domaines et acteurs de l’enseignement supérieur et de la recherche sont invités à venir échanger à Banska Bystrica, au centre de la Slovaquie, sur deux thématiques principales : les perspectives politiques des relations euro-méditerranéennes et le défi de l’employabilité des étudiants dans l’espace euro-méditerranéen : témoignages et analyses.

Central banks as organizations
A wide body of historical and economic literature has been published on central banks. It covers topics ranging from their role in defining and conducting economic and monetary policy, to their sometimes complex relationships with the public authorities. We will therefore take a different approach at our study day. Instead, we will focus on the organisation of these particular institutions, which are positioned between the State and markets and between national rationales and international dynamics. To do this, we will examine how their internal structures and governance have developed in order to adapt to transformations in their respective environments throughout the 20th century.
