  Myth and Audiovisual Creation

  V International Conference on Mythcriticism

  The V International Conference on Mythcriticism “Myth and Audiovisual Creation” will analyze the impact of myth in audiovisual creation from 1900 to the present day. The Conference will be organized in four universities during two weeks.The Conference will be divided into 4 venues according to different themes: "Germanic Myths" in the University of Alcalá, "Classical Myths" in the University Autónoma, "Biblical Myths" in the University Francisco de Vitoria and "Modern Myths" in the University Complutense. Researchers can send to one of their 4 venues their abstracts. They will have to analyze the relevance of film, TV series and video games in the creation and modification of old, medieval and modern myths to our contemporary world.

  Cette journée d’études entend étudier des œuvres cinématographiques et audiovisuelles de l’Amérique latine proposant des représentations des interactions entre le pouvoir et la liberté. Du fait de son enracinement dans les expériences quotidiennes de l’être humain, la création cinématographique et audiovisuelle produite dans cette région offre des éléments qui contribuent à une compréhension de ces notions complexes. Le pouvoir et la liberté sont des pratiques constitutives des relations interhumaines (historiques, politiques, économiques, culturelles, intimes, locales, globales…), dont la théorisation requiert d’instruments disciplinaires et méthodologiques variés.

  The “Landscapes” edition of dearq academic journal invites participants to reflect on what has globally been, principally since the beginning of the twentieth century, the evolution of the concept of landscape; the relevant methods of analysis; the methods of representation, of evaluation, and of teaching. This takes into consideration how the concept is a practical project tool that can be used for land-use planning, what landscape’s level of influence has been on the public policy decision-making process, what instruments and regulations have been used, and also how “landscape” and “territory” coexist.

  Cinéma, théorie, littérature et critique de cinéma dans la péninsule ibérique

  Le Centre d'études interdisciplinaires du XXe siècle de l'université de Coimbra (CEIS20 - UC) et le GELYC (Groupe d'études sur la littérature et le cinéma) de l'université de Salamanca, appellent à des propositions de communication au colloque international « Le cinéma à travers la critique. Cinéma, théorie, littérature et critique de cinéma dans la péninsule ibérique », qui aura lieu à Coimbra, Portugal, à 20 et 21 novembre 2008. Ce colloque cherche à réunir des contributions des disciplines les plus variées sur les relations entre la critique et le cinéma au Portugal et en Espagne.
