Principles, Practices, and Challenges in a Globalized World
This conference aims to explore democracy in the university as a principle, a value, and a practice, both in France and internationally. It is structured around two parts – national and then comparative – and two thematic axes: on the one hand, the exercise of democracy within institutional structures (governance, elections, widened access, reforms); on the other hand, non-institutional forms (student mobilizations, participatory democracy, academic freedoms). The goal is to analyze the issues, actors, and democratic dynamics in a globalized university context.

Cette rencontre a pour but de réunir différents professionnels pratiquant l’enseignement de langues et cultures étrangères dans différents parcours. Avec des axes thématiques larges, l’objectif est celui de promouvoir une discussion autour de l’enseignement/apprentissage en abordant les différentes questions : comment adapter l’enseignement de langues étrangères aux différents publics prenant en compte les particularités de chaque contexte d’apprentissage ? De quelle façon l’enseignement de langues peut-il incorporer des aspects culturels ? Quels sont les défis et les opportunités de l’intégration de projets interinstitutionnels dans l’enseignement de langues et cultures, notamment dans les relations Brésil-France ? etc.

The 2nd Conference of the UNESCO Chair on Non Violent Social Intervention of all professionals, lecturers, researchers and students, to participate in the discussion on the contexts of the enduring violence in several regions of the world, as well as scenarios of public policy and action, social movements, popular initiatives, and professional approaches in the field. The Conference will propose a space for dialogue and for raising the profile of these different actions, which aim to build strategies and alternatives to violence.

La didactique des langues est un domaine pluriel, où se côtoient des recherches diversement situées, qui interrogent des situations variées, des thématiques distinctes, voisines ou complémentaires, selon des approches qui privilégient différentes orientations et démarches liées à l’appropriation d’une ou de plusieurs langues par des apprenants et/ou aux rôles joués par différents acteurs dans l’appropriation langagière. Cette année, les organisateurs ont choisi d’interroger plus spécifiquement la notion de mondialisation comme angle d’analyse des situations didactiques.

Thematic Dossier vol. XIII, n. 2, 2021
The focus of the dossier is on the processes and social spaces for the construction and implementation of ideas about childhood, as well as the debates and tensions around them: education (formal, non-formal or informal) the family and parenting networks (nurture and care), the dynamics of gender construction and the collective sense of belonging (ethnicities and intercultural relations), labour aspects (rural and urban marginality and the issue of child labour) and areas of cultural production of each social group (the imaginaries, games, literature, sports and children entertainment).

Practice, training in, thinking and questioning emancipatory teaching methods
The current state of affairs and debates
In this conference we seek to render accessible, and make known, the numerous pedagogical currents drawn from Paulo Freire’s thought and practice in France and in French. We thus welcome proposals that offer a diverse theoretical and practical development of knowledge drawn from these currents. We argue that despite the theoretical diversity of critical theory (intersectionality, de-colonial thought, queer theory, white privilege theory), the different critical pedagogy currents present common characteristics. These currents focus on the awareness of the oppressed, on one hand, and of the privileged, on the other, in the aim to transform society towards social justice.

The contribution of the ergological approach and the works of Yves Schwartz
The ergological approach intends to the co-production of knowledge with the aim of transforming work and more generally the social life. As stated by the scientific project of the Workshop, “the ergological approach, in its history and in its issues, is a priori a subject of interest for everyone, each exploring in its own way the intricacies of human life, but also anyone who wants to think about its own activity and that of others, to reconsider the ways of doing and taking action, of opening new perspectives in ways of working, acting and living”. Yet this approach, which is particularly needed nowadays, is insufficiently known and sometimes considered complex. This is the state of play at the origin of this international workshop for which this call for papers is published.

Ce colloque a plusieurs objectifs. L'objectif principal est d'interroger la représentation des personnes d'ascendance africaine dans les manuels scolaires et de réflechir à la création de manuels scolaires dans lesquels ces populations seraient repésentées à leur juste valeur au sein d'une histoire pluriverselle. La rencontre questionnera toutes les disciplines et tentera d'établir un réel dialogue interdisciplinaire. Enfin, il sera question de la mise en place d'équipes de travail et de réflexion qui se réuniront après le colloque pour continuer le travail ébauché durant la rencontre.
