  Rehabilitating transnational cultural assets in Europe - Strasbourg municipal baths (1908/10)

  Perspectives for documentation and future exploitation

  Les bains municipaux de Strasbourg (1908/10) sont un parimoine culturel transnational d'un genre unique au monde. Fleuron de la politique sociale très progressiste de la municipalité alsacienne au temps du Reichsland allemand, ils comprennent deux bassins, des bains-douches, des bains romains, ainsi qu'une aile médicale. Restés quasiment intacts durant leur service ininterrompu depuis plus de cent ans, ils doivent subir une rénovation importante afin de pouvoir continuer à fonctionner. Au moment où la Ville de Strasbourg discute de la meilleure façon pour préparer ce patrimoine pour l'avenir, une perspective franco-allemande a pour objectif d'esquisser des perspectives d'action sur le fonds de rénovations qui ont déjà eu lieu en Allemagne.

  The Nuremberg Trials. New approaches in social history and the sociology of professions

  Until now, research focused mainly on the preparation, implementation, and conclusion of the Nuremberg Trials, as well as on the role they played in the postwar period, particularly with respect to the denazification of Germany and the formation of the memory of Nazism. New approaches have been developed, however, inspired by the sociology of professions and international organizations on the one hand and by the social history of post-war period on the other hand. These studies focus on the staff mobilized during these trials, the internationalization of various fields of expertise dedicated to peace building, and the long-term transformation of professional cultures to which these trials have contributed. Bringing together academics from different countries and disciplines, the workshop aims to provide a forum for such studies and to discuss new avenues of research.

  The conditions of distribution of media information in the broader region of SaarLorLux

  Depuis trois ans, huit chercheurs en sciences humaines de Lorraine, de la Sarre et du Luxembourg étudient la circulation des informations médiatiques dans la grande région. Plusieurs terrains étroitement articulés permettent de rendre compte de la construction, ou plus exactement de la difficile construction, d'un « espace médiatique grand régional » à travers des frontières politiques, culturelles ou sociales en permanente redéfinition. Les résultats seront discutés durant ces journées d'études avec des chercheurs confirmés et des doctorants.

  Barrières et défis interculturels et linguistiques dans la communication médiatique transfrontalière

  Représentations sociales, pratiques journalistiques, institutions

  Alors que l’Union européenne connaît un processus constant d’intégration, il n’existe pas encore d’espace public médiatique au niveau continental. La « Grande Région » (Saarland - Lorraine - Luxembourg - Rhénanie-Palatinat – Wallonie) est un territoire particulièrement intéressant pour observer les conditions de la circulation transfrontalière des informations et étudier les facteurs qui facilitent ou, au contraire, empêchent les informations de passer les frontières nationales.
