  À l’occasion du bicentenaire de la naissance du compositeur Théodore Gouvy (1819) et de l’inscription de ce bicentenaire dans les commémorations nationales de 2019, treize ans également après un premier colloque international organisé par l’Institut Théodore Gouvy et l’université de la Sarre en 2006, ce colloque souhaiterait réunir des contributeurs reprenant les nombreuses questions que soulève encore la trajectoire de Gouvy.

  The 16th AnnualSpringtime Academy (École de printemps d’histoire de l’art) organized by the International Consortium on Art Historywill take place from June 18–23, 2018, at the Université Paris Nanterre, on the theme “Art and Politics,” reflecting the fiftieth anniversary of the events of May 1968. This weeklong program will bring together students at the masters, doctoral, and post-doctoral levels from various disciplines and specializations to share research, working methods and experience in an international and interdisciplinary dialogue with advanced scholars and professionals.

  Staging Europe – Europe on stage

  Conference in the frame of "Creation & Crisis" project / EUROPA Alliance

  Through what kinds of narrations, symbols and images do the performing arts represent Europe today? How do the different conceptions of Europe coexist on stage? Does the artistic confrontation with Europe and its boundaries contribute to a redefinition of this “territory” or “space”? Is the mediation of European issues via the theatre able to reinforce political consciousness? Can it become the starting point for a new form of social cohesion? What kind of linguistic policy can best respond to the needs of the performing arts? How can we approach the special challenge of multilingual theatre? What are the resemblances and what are the differences between the scientific and the artistic approaches to the broad field that is “Europe”? What could be the modes of cooperation between artists and academics in terms of research, of teaching  and transmission at a European level? What are the perspectives for such methodological dialogue?

  Artistic transfer and the constraints of the late Enlightenment and Romantic periods in France, Germany and Poland

  Les études sur les transferts culturels ont mis en évidence, face à des cultures longtemps envisagées selon des approches nationales, un socle commun, des échanges et nous invitent à « penser les métissages » qui en découlent (Michel Espagne). Les œuvres et objets d’art, les œuvres musicales et dramatiques, les artistes, se prêtent particulièrement, en raison de leurs déplacements, à l’observation de ces juxtapositions, imbrications, transformations et adaptations, fécondations réciproques. Ces journées d’étude, organisées à l’Université d’Aix-Marseille les 10 et 11 mars 2017, s’inscrivent dans le cadre du renouvellement de l’histoire des transferts artistiques durant la période charnière de la fin du XVIII^e siècle et de la première moitié du XIX^e siècle, au regard notamment des études récentes sur le « patrimoine culturel déplacé et annexé » (Bénédicte Savoy).

  Innovation - Revolution: discourses on literay and artistic innovation in Germanic countries

  Journée d'études du groupe de travail « Germanosphères »

  « Innovation », « Revolution », « Traditionsbruch », « Avant-Garde » : les mots qui désignent l’innovation littéraire et artistique dans le discours critique des pays germaniques sont porteurs d’une pensée, voire d’un imaginaire de la nouveauté esthétique qui sont nécessairement tributaires du contexte historique, culturel et idéologique dans lequel ils s’inscrivent, sans se laisser toujours réduire à ce contexte. La journée d’études « Innovation-Revolution : discours sur la nouveauté littéraire et artistique dans les pays germaniques » se propose d’étudier les processus d’innovation et de renouvellement qui traversent l’histoire littéraire et artistique des pays germaniques à partir des mots et des concepts que la nouveauté suscite.

  Formation artistique transnationale au XIXe siècle

  Transnationale Künstlerausbildung im 19. Jahrhundert

  L’équipe du projet de recherche ArtTransForm (Technische Universität Berlin / université François-Rabelais Tours, 2010-2015) organise un colloque conclusif sur le phénomène de la formation artistique transnationale au XIX^e siècle. La mobilité des artistes au moment de leur formation joue un rôle crucial dans la construction biographique mais aussi dans le regard posé sur d'autres pratiques, d'autres milieux artistiques et professionnels et d'autres possibilités d'expression personnelle. Elle redessine enfin une géographie artistique différente des écoles nationales habituellement décrites dans les manuels.
