  The multidisciplinary peer-reviewed Journal of International Mobility, published by PUF and led by Agence Erasmus+ France / Education Formation, brings together scientific papers related to all aspects of international mobility in the context of education and training in Europe and around the world. The journal aims to improve understanding of the issues, conditions and impact of mobility in order to encourage its consideration by the researchers and political decision-makers who have the authority to support it. The special edition will focus on: “From pre-professional mobility abroad to international professional mobility: Issues, courses and strategies from various key players”

  What citizenship education for what democracy? Transnational perspectives from the 19th century to the 21st

  Quel citoyen et quelle citoyenne pour quelle démocratie ? Avec l’extension progressive du suffrage, dès lors que la politique ne se laissait plus penser sans le corps électoral, philosophes, politiques, pédagogues, activistes, citoyennes et citoyens, ont mis en discussion différentes approches de l’éducation à la citoyenneté. En sciences humaines et sociales, ces apports théoriques et pratiques à la question de la citoyenneté sont le plus souvent construits comme des cas d’étude séparés, dans des contextes nationaux pensés comme cloisonnés. Ils sont pourtant traversés de questions récurrentes. Le colloque réunira des spécialistes de différents pays et disciplines telles que l’histoire, la philosophie, les sciences de l’éducation, la science politique ou la sociologie, dans l'objectif d’historiciser les diverses réponses à ce défi démocratique et d'en interroger les représentations de la démocratie.

  The university and politics

  Professors, students and public powers in Europe (1848-1945)

  Cette journée d’études souhaite, sur la période d’un siècle allant des révolutions de 1848 à la fin de la Seconde Guerre mondiale, interroger la relation entre l’université et le politique. Il s’agira de réfléchir aux liens multiples entre acteurs du champ universitaire, qu’ils enseignent, étudient ou administrent, et acteurs du champ politique, dans l’espace européen. Une problématique centrale que cette journée d’études propose de questionner est celle de l’autonomie du champ universitaire, de sa constitution et de son éventuelle limitation, par rapport au champ politique, dans une période où l’institution universitaire est en pleine expansion et transformée par la formation de nouvelles disciplines, liée professionnalisation et la spécialisation des métiers scientifiques et intellectuels.

  Revue internationale d'ethnographie n°4

  This call for contribution of the Revue Internationale d’Ethnographie considers gender issue in terms of education and training through three “foundations”: teaching, students and teachers. It aims at assembling articles dealing with these three “foundations” – in a connected or disconnected way – by putting into evidence the dynamic which connect them to the gender issue so as to renew the knowledge extending to these observations of various situations. Expected contributions will emanate from ethnography but those from different subjects concerning humanities and social sciences may be relevant as well.

  International Medieval Congress

  Script is not a neutral communication medium. Scripts were particularly used throughout the Middle Ages to stage the idea of Empire, power and domination. The writing has the ability to connote authority and Empire and to inspire respect. On the other hand, the scriptural domain is a world in itself with its coherence and history. The idea of an ‘Empire of letters’ may have emerged within this world too. Both parts of this “empire of letters” are relevant for the palaeographical sessions on the specific thematic strand of ‘Empire’ organised at the International Medieval Congress 2014 in Leeds and sponsored by Apices and Cap Digital.
