Nouvelle forme de partage : réseaux, expertise, information
Un colloque sur les problèmes actuels de la bibliothéconomie européenne
The New Shape of Sharing: Networks, Expertise, Information continues conversations begun at the New Directions Symposium held in Frankfurt in 2017. This multi-day forum of panel presentations, a poster session, and interactive breakout sessions on key issues facing Western European collections and public services will encourage both structured and unstructured debate. We will advance our understanding of the challenges and initiate action in three areas: design new models for collaborative collection development and services; explore a growing range of content and format types and what they mean for libraries and researchers, and highlight the evolving role of libraries and librarians in the research process.

La presse francophone dans les Amériques
La culture et la langue françaises ont joué un rôle important dans le monde, tout particulièrement dans la presse du XIXe siècle, phénomène qui s’étend jusqu’au milieu du XXe siècle et s’est développée grâce à l’expansion des moyens techniques de production et de communication, permettant la circulation des modèles de presse et des sujets traités, ainsi que la constitution d’imaginaires mondialisés. Ce congrès est ainsi consacré à rassembler des chercheurs dédiés à l’étude de la presse périodique francophone dans les Amériques du XIXe et début du XXe siècle, comme journaux, revues et almanachs.

Uno de los principales propósitos del conversatorio es acercar a investigadores y estudiantes los debates y problemáticas que tienen lugar en el campo de la literatura y el arte digital desde una perspectiva analítica, crítica y reflexiva, orientando el pensamiento hacia el ámbito específico de la producción artificial de sensibilidades, con el objetivo de afianzar el crecimiento y el desarrollo de un área de estudios aún incipiente.

Poder y medios de comunicación, poder de los medios de comunicación
Miradas sobre las Américas
Para su 11a edición, RITA proponer interrogar en su sección temática Thema los vínculos entre poder y medios de comunicación en las Américas. Varias pistas de reflexión pueden ser evocadas sin por lo tanto ser exclusivas. Naturalmente, los artículos que traten del análisis crítico de medios oficiales o de los medios de oposición serán bienvenidos. Otras contribuciones podrán estudiar los efectos de los diferentes tratos mediáticos reservados a los movimientos populares. También esperamos análisis críticos de los vínculos entre medios y poderes económicos. El dossier temático también podrá integrar reflexiones sobre la reciente diversificación de los medios de información, focalizándose por ejemplo en el surgimiento de medios “alternativos” en Internet, o tratando del poder de los fake news en la construcción de representaciones colectivas.

The Crisis Communication Working Group aims to provide a forum for scholars researching the mediation of political and economic crisis, wars and terrorism, disasters, catastrophes and risks, combining global and local perspectives. We adopt a broad understanding of crisis communication with theoretical contributions from different perspectives and disciplines and hope to stimulate fruitful discussions about threat-image constructions and the consequences for democracy and civil rights.

Conference of the International Association for Media and Communication Research (IAMCR) 2015
The Comic Art Working Group, founded in 1984 by John A. Lent, is celebrating its thirtieth anniversary. As part of that occasion, the group hopes to have a full program of papers for the 2015 IAMCR conference in Montreal. Papers on any aspect of comic art are requested, such as political, advertising, or gag cartoons, newspaper strips, comic books, graphic novels, humor /cartoon periodicals, animation, and caricature.
