Il tema delle fake news è di grande attualità e rilevanza per i mezzi e i fini con cui queste vengono messe in circolazione: esse hanno il potere di alterare la realtà e di far circolare notizie prive di fondamento.Durante la giornata di studi si indagherà la modalità in cui l’alterazione del messaggio è stata assunta come verità nella storia dell’arte, ripercorrendo l’iter del processo artistico e la conseguente creazione delle fake news.

Túnez y el Mediterráneo en la Edad Moderna: Identidades, conflictos y representaciones

Homenaje a Slimane Mostafa Zbiss y Mikel de Epalza

La historia y la geografía demuestran el importante rol que tuvo Túnez en el Mediterráneo y cómo esto influyó en la creación de su identidad. Su localización en el centro del Mare Nostrum le dio un papel importante, ya sea en periodos de paz o de guerra. En la Edad Media y el comienzo de los tiempos modernos, bajo los hafsíes, Túnez controlaba el comercio subsahariano con Europa y los bienes de los comerciantes del este con los mercados occidentales. Los hafsíes también mantuvieron buenas relaciones diplomáticas con Venecia y los reyes de Aragón... En tiempos de conflicto, en el siglo XVI, Túnez fue un lugar estratégico para los imperios otomano e hispánico.

Secondo seminario di ricerca del programma «Lettresarts. Lettres d’artistes. Pour une nouvelle histoire transnationale de l’art (XVIII^e‐XIX^e siècles), organizzato dalla École française de Rome con il supporto della Bibliotheca Hertziana - Istituto Max Planck per la storia dell'arte. A un anno dall’inizio del programma di ricerca Lettres d’artiste, questo seminario si propone di fare il punto sulle ricerche in corso nel quadro del programma, analizzando i primi risultati e affrontando le questioni metodologiche ancora aperte circa il censimento, la schedatura, il trattamento informatico e l’analisi degli epistolari artistici tra Sette e Ottocento.

Archives from apostolic penitentiaries - their current condition and perspectives for the future

À l'occasion du cinquième anniversaire de l'ouverture aux chercheurs des séries consultables à l'Archivio della Penitenzieria Apostolica, une journée d'étude se tiendra le mardi 22 novembre 2016 au Palais de la Chancellerie, avec le patronage de l’École française de Rome et du Deutsches Historisches Institut in Rom. Cette initiative a pour double objectif de dresser un bilan de ces cinq premières années et de suggérer des pistes de recherche pour l'avenir.

Dans le cadre du projet interdisciplinaire HIDISOC « History and Dictionary of Sociability in Britain (1660-1832) », la journée d’étude du 13 mars 2015, organisée par PLEIADE (université Paris 13) et HCTI (UBO Brest) vise à appréhender, dans une perspective comparatiste, l'évolution de la sociabilité britannique au cours du long dix-huitième siècle, sous l'angle des dynamiques et conflits entre pratiques et modèles nationaux de sociabilité.

1660-1688: un tournant dans l’histoire de la sociabilité britannique ?

Dans le cadre du projet interdisciplinaire « History and Dictionary of Sociability in Britain (1660-1832) », la journée d’étude du 14 novembre 2014, organisée par PLEIADE (université Paris 13) et HCTI (UBO Brest) vise à étudier la période de la Restauration à la Glorieuse Révolution (1660-1688) comme une période charnière dans l’histoire de la sociabilité britannique, portant en elle les germes d’une sociabilité nouvelle. Il s’agira d’identifier les facteurs politiques, sociaux, économiques et culturels propices à l’essor de la sociabilité britannique et d’interroger le caractère novateur des formes, des pratiques et des vecteurs de cette sociabilité.

Police and Public Order in France and England (1750-1850)

Perspectives from current historiography

Traditional historiography has often opposed the French police model to its English counterpart. However, for twenty years, many researchers relativized the differences of these models and focused more on the interactions between cultures of social control. Recent studies have shown the limits of approaches focused on the only national police models as well as the importance of the circulation of police knowledge and technics in the late 18th century and early 19th century. Everywhere in Europe, this period is marked by the will to reform and by reflections on the procedures for the exercise of the police. Through a panel of international researchers, the conference aims to investigate beyond the national perspective by questioning the permanence and changes in police practices on both sides of the Channel. We will ultimately highlight the major trends of contemporary historiography and identify new paths of work.

Systèmes portuaires et relations hispano-marocaines aux XVIIe et XVIIIe siècles

La nueva historiografía portuaria mundial da mucha importancia al papel de los puertos y ciudades portuarias en estas relaciones internacionales. Existen magníficos estudios sobre puertos europeos, americanos, africanos y asiáticos. En España se han dado ciertos pasos en este sentido con coloquios y publicaciones de la especialidad. Pero queda mucho por hacer, máximo si nos referimos al espacio del sur peninsular (desde Alicante a Cádiz) y su relación con el sistema portuario marroquí en la Edad Moderna.
