  Myth and Audiovisual Creation

  V International Conference on Mythcriticism

  The V International Conference on Mythcriticism “Myth and Audiovisual Creation” will analyze the impact of myth in audiovisual creation from 1900 to the present day. The Conference will be organized in four universities during two weeks.The Conference will be divided into 4 venues according to different themes: "Germanic Myths" in the University of Alcalá, "Classical Myths" in the University Autónoma, "Biblical Myths" in the University Francisco de Vitoria and "Modern Myths" in the University Complutense. Researchers can send to one of their 4 venues their abstracts. They will have to analyze the relevance of film, TV series and video games in the creation and modification of old, medieval and modern myths to our contemporary world.

  Jews of Portugal and the Spanish-Portuguese Jewish diaspora

  O Centro de história da universidade de Lisboa, juntamente com a universidade do Porto, Ashkelon Academic College e o Dahan Center da Bar-Ilan University estão a organizar um congresso internacional, a decorrer em 2018 (27 de Junho a 2 de Julho), na universidade de Lisboa e na universidade do Porto, dedicado ao tema dos Judeus em Portugal e a diáspora luso-espanhola. Está de momento aberta a chamada à participação de todos os investigadores, especialistas e académicos, que desejem apresentar os seus trabalhos e resultados neste evento.

  Knowledge and power in the Iberian peninsula in the Middle Ages

  Séminaire de recherche consacré à l’histoire culturelle de la péninsule Ibérique, chrétienne, islamique et juive du Moyen Âge. En 2013-2014, le séminaire poursuivra la recherche entamée sur la notion d’identité dans l’Espagne médiévale, sur la validité d’un tel concept, et sur l’existence d’une ou de plusieurs identités « hispaniques ». Ouvert à tous ceux qui s'intéressent à l'histoire de l'Espagne et du Portugal, le séminaire accueille aussi de nombreux spécialistes qui y font connaître leurs travaux.
