O objetivo da revista é a publicação de estudos originais sobre todos os diversos aspectos que configuram a identidade do Brasil, com conteúdos nas áreas de Humanidades, Ciências Sociais e Jurídicas.

La reconnaissance de la place des femmes dans les sociétés américaines est devenue un enjeu social, culturel, politique et économique majeur. Des mouvements de revendications rendus visibles sur la scène internationale comme Ni una menos initié en Argentine – mouvement féministe qui lutte contre les féminicides et la violence de genre – ou encore les « Marches des femmes » contre le président Donald Trump aux États-Unis le prouvent. Ces problématiques mettent en évidence une forme de continuum entre les luttes et expressions féministes d’hier et leurs réactualisations dans l’espace public : des luttes pour obtenir le droit de vote, en passant par la révolution sexuelle des années 1960 et les mouvements sociaux dénonçant les violences de genre dans les milieux urbains et ruraux par exemple.

In the Atlantic World, 1400-1900
Since April 2015, the international team working on the project “African Ivories in the Atlantic World: a reassessment of Luso-African ivories” (Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia: PTDC/EPH-PAT/1810/2014), composed of 27 researchers from the University of Lisbon, the University of Évora and the Federal University of Minas Gerais in Brazil, has been researching the trade, circulation and production of raw and carved African ivory in the Atlantic area from the fifteenth to the eighteenth century. The team has identified and listed objects from Portuguese and Brazilian (Minas Gerais) collections, also collecting references and descriptions extant in written Portuguese sources. For the first time a selection of ivory pieces was subjected to lab tests with a view to helping establish their age and origin. The project research team has submitted proposals for re-interpreting material culture in the framework of its African contexts of production.

The International Symposium on Anthropology and Natural Disasters will offer the possibility for a complementary dialogue between the various fields of anthropology, in the understanding and resolution of problems, and in the promotion of new research avenues.

Another Music in a Different Room
Resulting from a series of developed works in the last decade within the framework of social sciences (namely Sociology of Culture, Sociology of Arts, Sociology of Youth, Urban Sociology and Sociology of Music), in this advanced seminar we will have the opportunity of deepening the understanding around the importance, functioning, process, the agents, characteristics, genres and subgenres of the current urban music scenes. The ANOTHER MUSIC IN A DIFFERENT ROOM will be a fruitful space for ideas, discussions and, therefore, for a great developments on scientific knowledge. So, it’s our intention to share all this scientific dynamic with the world in order to contribute to a larger debate on music, youth, lifestyles, culture, cultural scenes, music scenes. In this context, the ideas and discussions held in the Advanced Seminar, both by lecturers and participants, will be published in a Collaborative e-book.

La problématique de la méthodologie ethnographique et anthropologique
Revue Antropológicas
La revue Antropológicas accepte des propositions d'articles à publier dans le prochain numéro qui aura pour thème la problématique de la méthodologie ethnographique et anthropologique. Les manuscrits doivent être soumis sur la page http://revistas.rcaap.pt/antropologicas/login jusqu'au 28 février 2013. Depuis l’affirmation académique de son domaine de connaissance, la pratique ethnographique et l'écriture anthropologique ont mérité plusieurs débats, aussi bien pour l'originalité de la méthodologie que pour la rigueur scientifique exigée aux professionnels. Parmi les sciences sociales, l'anthropologie a été celle où le débat théorique sur sa propre raison d'être a exigé une plus grande capacité critique, en remettant en question ses bases méthodologiques.

This conference, prepared as part of a 3-years research project on the “Overall Rural Tourism Experience” (ORTE) inthree Portuguese villages, offers an in depth discussion of the “rural tourism experience”, its manifestations, meanings, impacts and evolution. It intends to significantly contribute to current reflections on the potential and limitations of rural tourism as a development tool as well as to the identification of ways to maximize this potential in certain circumstances, through a more profound understanding of the dynamics of the “overall rural tourism experience”.
