  Premio de Publicaciones ICAS (Convención Internacional de Académicos de Asia) sobre Asia

  En 2004, la Convención Internacional de Académicos de Asia (ICAS) inauguró su Premio de Publicaciones. Otorgado cada dos años, este premio tiene como objetivo dar visibilidad internacional a las publicaciones académicas dedicadas al estudio de Asia, aumentando así su perfil internacional y reconociendo las publicaciones de excelencia en el campo. Desde 2017, IBP comenzó a incluir los siguientes idiomas: chino, francés, alemán, japonés y coreano. A partir de 2019, agregó español, portugués, ruso y japonés a los idiomas en los que se puede otorgar el premio. Se pueden presentar trabajos monográficos o compilaciones publicados entre octubre de 2018 y enero de 2021, en las áreas de Humanidades y Ciencias Sociales. No se aceptan: traducciones de originales en otros idiomas, además de libros de referencia, antologías, obras de ficción, poesía, libros de viajes, autobiografías, recuerdos, panfletos, libros escolares, catálogos de exposiciones.

  Diez años después de la emblemática ley argentina sobre el matrimonio entre personas del mismo sexo, en este número de Cahiers des Amériques latines se examina la noción de una "revolución de los derechos" y se hace un balance de la situación de las minorías sexuales y de género en la región. Tres líneas de investigación parecen esenciales para proponer una reflexión crítica sobre la realidad de las minorías sexuales y de género y para evaluar la "revolución de los derechos" LGBTQI+ en América Latina.

  Les Africains et les Européens en Sénégambie méridionale : interactions et transversalités

  Hommage à Jean Boulègue

  Ce colloque, en hommage à l’historien Jean Boulègue, vise à donner suite aux travaux commencés en 2016 dans le premier colloque international sur la présence portugaise à Ziguinchor et, à ce titre, sera présenté comme un espace de débat multi et interdisciplinaire qui vise à revisiter l’histoire, l’héritage culturel portugais et les dynamiques qui la maintiennent vivante. Revisitant les études sur les Luso-africains, permettra d’aborder des questions historiques et actuelles telles que : quelles interactions culturelles et quels mouvements transversaux se sont opérés au fil du temps ? Quel rôle ont joué ces populations dans la vie sociale, économique et politique de la région ? De l’époque de la Libération à nos jours, que reste-t-il des Luso-africains en Sénégambie ? Quel héritage ces populations ont laissé dans le paysage culturel, politique, linguistique et culinaire, entre autres, de la région ?

  La Revista de Estudios Brasileños es una publicación semestral y de formato electrónico, resultado de la colaboración académica entre la Universidad de Salamanca(USAL) y la Universidad de São Paulo (USP). El objeto de la revista es la publicación de estudios originales sobre todos los diversos aspectos que configuran la identidad de Brasil, con contenidos en las áreas de Humanidades, Ciencias Sociales y Jurídicas. Hasta el 31 de octubre de 2019 está abierto el plazo para la recepción de artículos para la “Sección General”, “Dossier”, “Entrevistas” y “Reseñas” para el número 14 de la REB.

  Cuando las mujeres filman: el documental en la peninsula iberica y en el continente latinoamericano

  En una perspectiva transdisciplinaria, el presente coloquio apunta a repensar los marcos epistemológicos del análisis de la imagen documental. ¿Qué estrategias narrativas y qué estéticas han sido implementadas para llevar a la pantalla temas prohibidos o eludir la censura? ¿Qué papel han jugado los colectivos de mujeres en la organización de la producción? ¿Qué ha pasado con ellos? ¿Cómo han circulado o no las obras entre países culturalmente cercanos en los cuales imperan cadenas de televisión muy poderosas? ¿Cómo han contribuido de hecho determinadas películas al enriquecimiento y redefinición de la antropología cultural, en sociedades pluriétnicas? ¿Cómo pensar a gran escala la conservación, restauración y utilización de documentales hechos en soporte video, que pocas veces son objeto de políticas de conservación?

  The Hydraulics in Monumental Buildings

  The hydraulic system is an architectural subsystem that can only be understood in view of the dual constitution of its structure: one at ground level, that referrers to potable water (lower hydraulic subsystem), and other concerning rainwater (upper hydraulic subsystem). They both involve aspects of major importance for the functioning of any building: catchment, distribution and evacuation of the waters. In the last decade, research was carried out on the hydraulic component of historical architecture, either religious or civil, considering technical and artistic issues, not only in Portugal, but throughout Europe.

  The main aim of the Hamsa Journal of Judaic and Islamic Studies is to create a virtual multi-disciplinary space in which all perspectives of the History, Language and Literature of Jews and Muslims can converge, as well as themes on Judaism and Islam in general. In this context, the review strives to be a privileged space for the dissemination of studies in these areas, with a special focus on Iberian Muslims and Jews and their Diaspora, entraining a comparative analysis of historiographical, philosophical, anthropological and sociological discourses.

  La época del espacio. Estado y nuevas perspectivas

  A lo largo de la segunda mitad del siglo XX se produjo una reorientación de la mirada humana y del interés científico, que pasó a observar y a observarse más en el espacio que en el tiempo, como ya había ocurrido anteriormente. En los últimos años, ha crecido enormemente el interés por el estudio de las creaciones artísticas, especialmente literarias, poniendo el foco en la simbología o la relevancia de los lugares. El crecimiento de disciplinas como las mencionadas puede ser percibido a través de su contacto con otras disciplinas emergentes, como las humanidades digitales, también de reciente aparición. La simbiosis entre ellas ha dado lugar a las humanidades espaciales o al deep mapping, entre otras. Sin embargo, más allá de las nuevas metodologías o procedimientos, internet y el desarrollo de la informática también han generado nuevos hábitats, nuevas espacialidades, que nos obligan a reformular el "nido" bachelardiano y el modo en que construimos identidades en el espacio. ¿Cómo han evolucionado estas teorías en los últimos años, qué ha cambiado en nuestra concepción del término o cómo vivimos o nos relacionamos con el territorio?

  African Ivories

  In the Atlantic World, 1400-1900

  Since April 2015, the international team working on the project “African Ivories in the Atlantic World: a reassessment of Luso-African ivories” (Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia: PTDC/EPH-PAT/1810/2014), composed of 27 researchers from the University of Lisbon, the University of Évora and the Federal University of Minas Gerais in Brazil, has been researching the trade, circulation and production of raw and carved African ivory in the Atlantic area from the fifteenth to the eighteenth century. The team has identified and listed objects from Portuguese and Brazilian (Minas Gerais) collections, also collecting references and descriptions extant in written Portuguese sources. For the first time a selection of ivory pieces was subjected to lab tests with a view to helping establish their age and origin. The project research team has submitted proposals for re-interpreting material culture in the framework of its African contexts of production.

  Insularities and enclaves in colonial and post-colonial circumstances

  Crossings, conflicts and identitarian constructions (15th - 21st centuries)

  Historically, archipelagos were considered as rehearsal spaces for new social constructions. Since colonization and, afterwards, colonialism and imperialism, many of them evolved in association with the strengthening of international networks, while others did not escape isolation and forced unequal integration in different spaces. On the other hand, enclaves were the outcome of historical circumstances, often externally decided, which prompted some degree of insularity regarding the immediate geographical surroundings. When those territories did not become independent, there were demands for autonomy or, at least, some underlying emancipatory and anti-colonialist feelings. Even when these feelings did not mobilize relevant segments of the population, they disclose the alterity – above all cultural – in regard to sovereignty.

  KISMIF Conference 2018 will be preceded by a Summer School entitled ‘What difference do DIY cultures make?’ (KISMIF Summer School 2018) on 3 July 2018 in Faculty of Arts and Humanities of University of Porto. The summer school will offer an opportunity for all interested persons, including those participating in the conference, to attend workshops led by specialists in these fields. Specifically, the Summer School offers thematic workshops expressly focused on the hands-on, music making, and place making of contemporary DIY cultures. Its approach will be methodological and focused on research for action.

  KISMIF conference 2018

  We are pleased to announce the fourth “Keep It Simple, Make It Fast!” (KISMIF) Conference which will take place in Porto, Portugal, between 3 July and 7 July 2018. This initiative follows the great success of the three past editions and brings together an international community of researchers focusing on underground music scenes and do-it-yourself culture. The 4^th edition of KISMIF will focus on “Gender, differences, identities and DIY cultures”, directing its attention on gender issues relating to underground scenes and do it yourself (DIY) cultures, and their manifestation at local, translocal and virtual levels.

  África y Latinoamérica: interacciones trasatlánticas

  Este coloquio tiene como objetivo interrogar y debatir sobre las diferentes interacciones sociales, históricas, epistemológicas y políticas entre el continente africano y latinoamericano. Este coloquio no consistirá solamente en echar una mirada retrospectiva sobre el camino recorrido ni en establecer un balance de las investigaciones realizadas dentro del Centre d’études et de recherches afro-ibéro-américaines (CERAFIA). Se tratará más bien de repensar el CERAFIA asignándole un nuevo futuro con nuevos objetivos y retos. Así, se tratará de reforzar su enfoque multidisciplinario dentro de la investigación científica realizada en Gabón, sin renunciar a su enfoque triangular y comparativo entre áfrica, Europa y Latinoamérica.

  Mondes ibériques (Europe, Amérique, Afrique, Asie) XIX-XXI

  Élément constituant de la ville, la rue a beaucoup évolué au fil des siècles. Assurant la mise en relation des lieux, des fonctions et des groupes sociaux, elle est une forme urbaine qui a une configuration, une architecture, une histoire. Elle a ses logiques, ses dynamiques et ses usages. Ses pratiques et ses représentations sont liées à l’espace urbain dans lequel elle s’inscrit ; elles dépendent aussi de facteurs politiques et socio-économiques. Le « sens » de la rue pouvant donc varier considérablement, il est nécessaire d’aborder celle-ci sous l’angle d’un certain relativisme, en gardant présente à l’esprit la notion d’échelle. Ce colloque envisage la rue dans les mondes ibériques à travers ses dimensions fonctionnelles, socio-économiques, politiques et culturelles, au prisme des lieux et des éléments qui la composent, de ses acteurs et de ses créations. Quatre axes seront privilégiés : la « rue de l’urbaniste » ; Un espace socio-économique : lieu de passage et d’échanges ; Un espace symbolique : « ordre et désordres » ; Un espace de création artistique et langagière

  Desde hace diez años, el Institut des hautes études de l’Amérique latine (IHEAL) atribuye cada año algunas de sus cátedras a docentes e investigadores especialistas de ciencias sociales en el área de América Latina. Creadas gracias al Ministerio de Educación Superior y de Investigación en Francia, estas Cátedras están destinadas a participar en la colaboración entre Europa y América Latina; permiten al IHEAL crear vínculos con muchas universidades latinoamericanas y consolidar una red académica amplia.

  First Iberian Colloquium on Landscape

  Landscapes present themselves as sceneries we have inherited, where we live, and from where we draw the resources needed to subsist as a civilisation and as a species. The result of our actions on this heritage will be the legacy to our descendants. In the beginning of the third millennium, the interest in the topic of landscape is increasingly important, transforming this discipline in a research platform where several fields of knowledge intersect. The aim of this colloquium is to reflect about the diversity of multidisciplinary aspects, analytical methods, and intervention techniques related to the study of landscape, establishing a forum focused on the future relationship between humanity and landscape.

  Lost and Transformed Cities: a digital perspective

  The city is by definition a living entity. It translates itself into a collectiveness of individuals who share and act on a material, social and cultural setting. Its history is one of dreams, achievements and loss. As such, it also bears a history of identity. To know the history of cities is to understand our own place in the contemporaneity. The past is always seen through the eyes of the present and can only be understood as such. On the occasion of the 261^st anniversary of the 1755 earthquake in Lisbon, we invite scholars and experts in the fields of heritage studies, digital humanities, history, history of art and information technology to share and debate their experience and knowledge on digital  heritage.
