  Quand les femmes filment : le documentaire dans la péninsule ibérique et dans le continent latino-américain

  Ce colloque international et interuniversitaire aura pour objet l'étude de la production documentaire réalisée par des femmes des pays de la péninsule ibérique ou du continent latino-américain. Il a pour visée de repenser, dans une perspective transdisciplinaire, les cadres épistémologiques de l’analyse de l’image documentaire. Il réfléchira aux manières dont les films documentaires, maintenus dans une double marginalité, celle du documentaire et celle due au statut des femmes, ont agi comme des opérations d’intelligibilité du monde.

  Myth and Audiovisual Creation

  V International Conference on Mythcriticism

  Le V Congrès International de Mythocritique “Mythe et création audiovisuelle” est une initiative du Programme de Recherche Acis&Galatea, financé par la Communauté de Madrid et le Fonds Social Européen. Le Congrès s’organisera au tour de 4 sièges selon le thème: “Mythes germaniques” à l´université de Alcalá, “Mythes classiques” à l´université Autónoma, “Mythes bibliques” à l´université Francisco de Vitoria et “Mythes modernes” à l´université Complutense. Les chercheurs peuvent envoyer leur proposition de communication à un des 4 sièges. Leur objectif consistera à analyser le rôle du cinéma, les séries télévisées, les jeux vidéo dans la création et adaptation des mythes anciens, médiévaux et modernes et notre monde contemporain.

  The “Landscapes” edition of dearq academic journal invites participants to reflect on what has globally been, principally since the beginning of the twentieth century, the evolution of the concept of landscape; the relevant methods of analysis; the methods of representation, of evaluation, and of teaching. This takes into consideration how the concept is a practical project tool that can be used for land-use planning, what landscape’s level of influence has been on the public policy decision-making process, what instruments and regulations have been used, and also how “landscape” and “territory” coexist.

  Work on screen: social memories and identities through cinema

  Since the early 20^th century, work in contemporary societies has suffered several processes of change, which, in the context of the current economic and employment crisis, demand equating the structuring of social identities that are built and modified through work. During this period, cinema has been a privileged vehicle for the creation and dissemination of representations on work and, therefore, the shaping of social memories. This international and multidisciplinary seminar aims at gathering and discussing contributions that analyse the social processes involved in the formation of work identities and representations through cinema. It welcomes papers that highlight the main continuities and discontinuities of work memory narratives from the early 20^th century to the present days, based on the analysis of specific films or bodies of films (both documentaries and fictions) and their reception.

  Durant 5 jours, dans le village d’Avanca, le cinéma est avant tout rassembleur et provoque des rencontres fructueuses entre les participants, transformant ainsi Avanca en un véritable Village du Cinéma, une scène de partage, de débat et de dissémination de la recherche. La conférence Avanca | Cinema affirme son importance tant au niveau national qu’international, de par la moyenne des participants mais aussi grâce à la diversité thématique qui la caractérise tout au long de ces  5 éditions. Organisée en parallèle avec le Festival international de cinéma d’Avanca, ceci en fait un événement complet, qui offre aux chercheurs, membres du milieu académique, réalisateurs, producteurs, acteurs, critiques, techniciens, et cinéphiles, entre autres, un programme diversifié comprenant des workshops, des séances de cinéma, des présentations de livres, des tables rondes, ainsi que des séances parallèles et plénières.

  Medieval manuscripts in motion

  The 2nd edition of the International Conference "Medieval Europe in Motion" is already underway. It will take place in Lisbon, March 4-6, 2015. The conference's main scientific goal is, once more, to analyse the phenomenon of circulation, motion and mobility of people, forms and ideas during the Middle Ages. This time, however, the focus will be on the illuminated manuscripts. This three-day Conference aims thus to conduct a critical and constructive revision of research on Iberian Book Illumination in the Middle Ages, proposing new questions to be discussed.
