  Heritages values of 20th century architecture: what recognition?

  Critical review and international forward-looking vision

  The heritage values of 20th century architecture, whether they be cultural, social or technical, remain relatively complex to assess, and thus to share, due to lack of perspective and knowledge. The architectural and urban production of the second half of the 20th century was particularly prolific, sometimes remarkable, even exceptional. The energy, ecological transition, the changing habits and lifestyles are leading to the gradual transformation of this built heritage reaching to the end of its life cycle. Since the 1990-2000’s, a movement for heritage making has developed, which leads to many questions relating to possible and desirable developments of these architectural achievements. This  issue of  In  Situ  seeks  to  take a European or international critical perspective on the architecture of the 20th century and to highlight doctrines and positions adopted, practices and examples of schemes, policies or projects.

  Heuristic incidents. The ins and outs of ethnological enquiry

  ethnographiques.org journal

  La revue en ligne de sciences humaines et sociales ethnographiques.org accueille des contributions d’étudiants ou de chercheurs en vue d’enrichir une réflexion théorique, méthodologique et réflexive sur les pratiques ethnographiques. Les travaux de disciplines proches (sociologie, histoire, géographie…) s’inscrivant dans ce projet sont également les bienvenus. Nous accordons en outre une place importante à l’utilisation de nouvelles techniques de restitution qui obligent à repenser le rendu du terrain ethnographique. Ce numéro sera consacré au thème « Incidents heuristiques. Aléas et rebondissements de l’enquête ethnographique ».

  Rumours, urban myths and conspiracy theories through the prism of social sciences

  Issues, methods and perspectives

  Ce numéro sera consacré au thème « Rumeurs, légendes urbaines et théories du complot au prisme des sciences sociales. Enjeux, méthodes, perspectives ». Ce numéro de la revue Émulations se propose de faire ressortir les similitudes autant que les différences entre ces trois concepts, mais aussi de modifier le regard que l’on porte d’ordinaire sur eux. Les propositions d’articles rédigées par de jeunes chercheurs (qu’ils soient doctorants ou jeunes docteurs) seront privilégiées au même titre que celles soulevant des questions relevant d’une approche clairement interdisciplinaire. Le but, enfin, sera de produire, quant aux rumeurs et aux légendes urbaines, des analyses ad hoc capables de saisir la spécificité (discursive, politique, symbolique) de ces phénomènes-là dans l’espace social et politique.

  Political terrains - collective reflections on the practices of commited research

  Réflexions collectives sur des pratiques de recherches engagées

  Le séminaire « Terrains politiques » propose un espace d'échange aux chercheurs en sciences sociales qui mènent des enquêtes de terrains sur les mobilisations collectives, les organisations, les collectifs activistes et militants ou sur des sujets et terrains connexes. Plus largement, il s'agit donc de s'interroger sur ce qu'implique d'interroger le politique en sciences sociales. En effet, ces terrains politiques mettent inévitablement les chercheur.e.s face à une double responsabilité, à la fois académique et politique (vis à vis des causes étudiées). Dès lors, comment mettre à profit cette tension entre rigueur d’analyse et engagement ?

  The problem of ethnographic and anthropological methodology

  Antropológicas Journal

  The journal Antropológicas is accepting proposals for publication in its next issue that will address the problem of ethnographic and anthropological methodology. Manuscripts should be submitted to the page http://revistas.rcaap.pt/antropologicas/login by the 28th of February of 2013. Antropológicas’ number 13th will address the problem of ethnographic and anthropological methodology, because since the academic statement of its field of knowledge, ethnographic practice and anthropological writing had many debates, both for the originality of the methodology and the scientific accuracy required by their professionals. Among social sciences, anthropology was the one where theoretical discussion about its rationale demanded a greater critical capacity, by placing into question its methodological grounds.
