  Building the alliance

  The implementation of France’s commitment in Central and Eastern Europe in the interwar period (1917-1939)

  The aim of this conference is to shed light on joint practical initiatives between France and all the allied countries of central Europe during the inter-war period to concretely build the alliance between the partners. France’s collaboration with the member states of the Little Entente (Czechoslovakia, Romania, Kingdom of the Serbs, Croats, and Slovenes) — and of these powers amongst themselves — will be emphasized, but communications on the ties with the other Allied Powers or partners from the region (Poland, the Baltic States and Finland, Greece, Turkey), and even with the revisionist powers (Soviet Russia, Hungary, Bulgaria) are welcome.

  Humour in the works of San-Antonio

  Sources, instruments and translatability

  Le VI^e colloque international San-Antonio – après ceux de Bordeaux (1965), Sorbonne (2010), Chambéry (2013), Dijon (2014) et Belfast (2015) – aura comme thème « L’humour chez San-Antonio. Sources, instruments, traductibilité ». Il va se dérouler à Craiova (Roumanie), les 25 et 26 mai 2017, à « Casa Universitarilor » (Maison des universitaires). Sans avoir la prétention d’épuiser les démarches possibles visant cette composante importante de la création de Frédéric Dard, celui pour lequel rien de ce qui est humoristique ne lui était étranger, nous espérons trouver des réponses au moins aux quelques questions posées dans l’appel de ce colloque et, grâce aux participants, à bon nombre d’autres, pas encore mises !

  Tribute to Marthe Bibesco

  Ce colloque est, tout d’abord, un hommage à la complexe personnalité de Marthe Bibesco. Nous envisageons de focaliser deux de ses traits identitaires, la féminité débordante, de même que ses multiples formes de manifestation, et la mobilité concrétisée / exercée dans ses nombreux voyages faits tout le long de sa vie. Au-delà des données biographiques inédites, nous sommes intéressés par l’exemplarité du destin de Marthe Bibesco. Dans ce sens, nous voulons investiguer le profil de la femme intellectuelle, écrivaine, dynamique, mondaine, voyageuse.
