  Philosophy and dance in Africa and among its diasporas today

  Corpus Africana festival

  From the 27^th of October until the 10^th of November 2018 the university consortium Erasmus Mundus Europhilosophie is organising, under the title “Corpus Africana; Current philosophies and Dances in Africa and its Diasporas”, an important international meeting, aiming to bring to the heart of arts and humanities university research in Europe the knowledge and the study of “Africana Philosophy”, of choreographic knowledge that is of African or contemporary African lineage in nature. The meeting will take place at the University of Toulouse Jean Jaurès as part of the research seminar “Thinking Decolonisation”, in collaboration with the James Carlès Centre of Choreography’s Festival of Dance and the Black Continents.

  Dans  une société où violences agies et banalisation engagent le risque de répression intense de l'affect, nous sommes aussi - et paradoxalement - aux prises avec des messages incitant au surcroit émotionnel et à l'excitation pulsionnelle. Ce numéro se propose non seulement de mettre en discussion, à partir de la clinique, le concept de « désaffectation » proposé par Joyce Mac Dougall mais également d'interroger la nature de ces régimes pulsionnels auxquels le clinicien a de plus en plus affaire tant dans la cure que dans des cliniques dites hors-les-murs ou dans le champ social : violence sans sadisme ? par pure décharge (de pulsion de mort) ?, somatisations, incivilités ordinaires, jusqu'à ce qu'on désigne dans nos médias quotidiens comme les « actes barbares ».
