  Economía energética entre desiertos y océanos

  El tercer congreso internacional sobre economía del desierto

  The ultimate purpose of the International Congress on Desert Economy – Dakhla, is to be a scientific and multidisciplinary platform on desert and Sahara economy development, in order to contribute effectively to the good governance and in the sustainable development of desert regions, by stimulating meetings between all stakeholders on a global scale, with a view to fostering cooperation and partnership, among (Sahara) desert countries (Africa, the Gulf States, the United States of America, China, Australia...), with the aim of creating a conducive environment to the exchange of experiences, expertise and innovation, around themes related to desert and Sahara economy development, such as: Tourism and travel industry, agriculture, renewable energy, raw materials, transportation and logistics, sea and ocean economy, technology and innovation,  entertainment and sport economy, cultural and intangible heritage, nature and environment.

  En el marco del coloquio celebrado en junio de 2011, tuvimos la oportunidad de interesarnos por la construcción del Estado-Nación en Chile y las resistencias que de ella nacieron. Para enero de 2013 organizamos una prolongación de esta reflexión en torno al siguiente tema: "Construcción del Estado-Nación y desarrollo económico y social en Chile (1811-1976). De la libertad de comercio al comercio de la libertad".

  Microfinanzas y la Nueva Izquierda Latinoamericana

  The conference brings a number of stakeholders from the microfinance sector, social and political movements, New Left governments as well as academics together in order to discuss and clarify these issues.  We expect to contribute to a common frame of analysis and to identify avenues for a more fruitful articulation of microfinance strategies with the emancipatory agendas of Latin American governments and social movements. The conference is a joint organisation of the Latin American and Caribbean Forum for Rural Finance  (FOROLACFR), the French Microfinance Network  CERISE (Comité d’Échange, de Réflexion et d’information sur les Systèmes Épargne- Crédit), the Center for European Research in Microfinance (CERMI, Mons University) and the Institute of Development Policy and Management (IOB, University of Antwerp)
