  El presente seminario se inscribe en la continuidad del simposio Cuerpos en acción. La bioculturalidad de la vida cotidiana que se organizó en el marco del IV Congreso latinoamericano de antropología (México, 2015). Invitamos a participar en este seminario Bioculturalidad de la vida cotidiana a investigadores interesados en el estudio del cuerpo, de la corporeidad humana, de las técnicas del cuerpo, de las articulaciones entre acción corporal y cultura material, de las co-acciones hombre/animal, de la nutrición, de la salud, de la educación corporal, de la danza, de la sexualidad y de otras parcelas de la vida cotidiana que invitan a pensar la complejidad del estar en el mundo humano.

  This conference addresses the gap between the research culture with which Digital Humanists are equipped via their disciplinary backgrounds and the research culture they foster in this field. Why does experimentation play a crucial role in Digital Humanities? How does it contribute to define the relationship between method and research questions? Can we identify barriers which currently prevent Digital Humanities from developing their full potential, leaving little room for iteration, comparison or failure? The conference itself is conceived as an experimental set-up with labs, data experiments and round tables.

  Narrative Matters 2014, the 7^th Narrative Matters conference, will be held from 23^rd June to 27^th June 2014 at the University of Paris Diderot and the American University of Paris. The conference will address the theme of Narrative Knowing / Récit et savoir. This conference will bring together scholars of all disciplines — psychology, psychoanalysis, sociology, anthropology, history, philosophy, linguistics, literary studies, feminist and gender studies, education, medicine/healthcare, social work, biology, law, theology, computer science, visual studies, etc. — to reflect on the issue of the, sometimes, contested epistemic powers of narrative.

  Rwanda : génocide et reconstruction des champs du savoir

  Explorer le génocide des Tutsi au Rwanda

  Organized in Rwanda by the Interdisciplinary Genocide Studies Center. The Interdisciplinary Genocide Studies Center based in Kigali, Rwanda continues their two/three-week US/Rwanda exchange program in order to deepen students’, researchers’, and artists’ knowledge of the Rwandan genocide. In the last years, the program started in 2004 has enabled teachers and students from Rwanda, Burundi, Congo, Kenya, Uganda, Burkina Faso, Afghanistan, Singapore, Mexico, UK, France, Belgium, Spain, and the USA to develop narratives that engage questions of social justice, conflict resolution, and peace building. The program has involved theater artists, filmmakers, academicians, researches, and students from various disciplines and countries, whose practice engages questions of peace building.
