Ou le concevons-nous comme quelque chose déterminé par nos actions et nos décisions présentes ? Est-il une pure potentialité, la promesse d’un monde radicalement différent et tout à la fois inimaginable ? Ou est-il considéré comme à jamais inaccessible, définissant notre expérience du présent comme un état perpétuel du sursis et de l’éphémère ?

  Although French woman writer Colette was indifferent to and even critical of the feminist movement of the early 1900s, in the way she lived her life as in her fiction, she exemplified financial and social independence and shame-free sexuality, or what would be call today “gender fluidity”. This international conference will show how Colette represents a vibrant and radical expression of feminism in tune with the #MeToo spirit in today's society

  Modernisme et Ruralité : un point sur l'état des recherches (EAHN 2018 - Tallin)

  5eme rencontre international du Réseau Européen d'Histoire de l'Architecture, à Tallinn, juin 2018

  This session aims to address, from a historical perspective, the relation between, on one side, architecture and the related disciplines, and on the other side, agriculture and rurality at large. We welcome proposals specifically mapping case studies concerned with large-scale agricultural development and/or colonization schemes conceived and (but not necessarily) implemented in Europe and beyond during modern times (late 18th-20th century), strongly connected to nation- and State-building processes, and to the modernization of the countryside. We are particularly interested in those examples which aimed to “make the difference” in both scale and numbers, entailing radical reshaping of previously uninhabited or sparsely populated areas into new, planned, “total” rural landscapes.

  A arte nas trincheiras | Nas trincheiras da arte. Nos 100 anos da 1ª Guerra Mundial

  Com o intuito de assinalar a passagem do centenário do início da Primeira Guerra Mundial, o Instituto de Literatura Comparada da Faculdade de Letras da Universidade do Porto associa-se às entidades governamentais (Ministério dos Negócios Estrangeiros) e municipais (Câmara Municipal do Porto) que, no Porto, levarão a cabo um conjunto de actividades comemorativas da efeméride. Pretende-se, neste Colóquio Interdisciplinar, aprofundar a discussão em torno da partici¬pação de Portugal na Primeira Grande Guerra, mediante uma reflexão conjunta e articulada que, para lá de questões de natureza estritamente histórico-política, incida sobre os vários campos artísticos, com especial destaque para o campo da Literatura.

  Le projet ERC-Starting Grant À chacun son réel, recherche menée sur les notions de réel et de réalité(s) dans l’art des années 1960 à 1989 en France, RFA, RDA et Pologne, organise à Paris, au Centre allemand d’histoire de l’art, une rencontre internationale les 11, 12 et 13 avril 2013 autour de trois ateliers de recherche rassemblant chercheurs confirmés, post-doctorants et doctorants et dont les thèmes de travail seront : Réalité(s), fiction, utopie.
