5th congress of the International Ergology Society

La démarche de l’ergologie offre-t-elle une approche pertinente dans le champ des questions intégrant le travail, le patrimoine et le développement ? Dans quelle mesure sa contribution est-elle singulière et innovante ? Afin d’établir un bilan et de tracer des perspectives, le principal objectif du cinquième congrès de la Société internationale d’ergologie (SIE) est de mettre en débats, au cours de trois journées, les travaux qui, en plusieurs lieux du monde, ont fait l’option de s’engager dans cette réflexion, tout en ayant parfois privilégié auparavant d’autres cadres de référence. La diversité des approches constituera un atout essentiel de cette rencontre qui se veut donc pluridisciplinaire.

The third KISMIF International Conference “Keep It Simple, Make It Fast! (KISMIF) DIY Cultures, Spaces and Places” will take place in Porto, Portugal, between 18^th July and 21^st July 2016. The submission of abstracts for this conference is open to academic researchers working in all areas of sociology, anthropology, history, cultural economics, geography, urban planning, media and cultural studies and cognate disciplines, such as design, illustration, popular music, cinema, visual and performing arts. The KISMIF Conference 2016 is once again focused on underground music, directing its attention this time towards the analysis of DIY cultures’ relationship to space and places.

The coming of globalization was centrally anchored in the increased mobility of goods, people and ideas. Port cities were thus transformed in crucial hubs in this mobility age. Because of the heterogeneous social and cultural landscape associated with commerce and transport, port cities became increasingly known as insecure places. Hence the perceptions resulting from and the strategies adopted to deal with the insecurity and the search for a new sense of urban stability were especially acute in port cities.

La francophonie n’est certes pas un fait culturel ou politique nouveau. Toutefois – indéchiffrable ou irréductible aux effets de correspondance linguistique au territoire ; qui plus est chargée d’une aura littéraire bien au-delà des francophonies originelles ou postcoloniales –, elle se revêt d’une ambiguïté définitoire, - souvent déclinée au pluriel -, et d’un statut géopolitique en éternel chantier. Quoi qu’il en soit, une chose est sûre : la francophonie se définit surtout par des interrogations ou des négations, tant par rapport au centre hexagonal que vis-à-vis d’une uniformisation linguistique et culturelle hégémonique.
