  "The Balfour Declaration" : What centenary

  In order to address this notorious Declaration, we propose a debate on the historical, political and geostrategic circumstances that led to the Balfour Declaration, and how  practical  politics  influences the making of Britain’s foreign policy. The Balfour Declaration and its ramifications at the local and global levels could be tackled with reference to a myriad of theoretical frameworks such as the postcolonial/political theory, new historicism, ethnography, to name but a few.

  New approaches to research and training in the performance arts

  Dans le domaine des arts du spectacle vivant, on est forcé de constater aujourd’hui qu’aussi bien au niveau de la recherche théorique qu’au niveau de la formation pratique, les efforts se multiplient pour mettre en évidence les limites des méthodes traditionnelles. Au-delà des nouveaux concepts adoptés et qui sont à même de mieux cerner la multiplicité des arts performatifs au sein des différentes cultures, les efforts convergent vers l’établissement de liens directs entre recherche théorique et expérience pratique dans la formation. Il s’agit en l’occurrence de privilégier une approche novatrice et créative.
