  Pertinence d’une discipline, nouveaux champs et nouvelles tendances

  Le 15 et 16 mars 2018 se tiendra le onzième colloque des étudiants et des étudiantes en histoire de l’université de Sherbrooke. Pour cette édition, le comité organisateur vous propose de faire une introspection sur la discipline historique, de réfléchir plus largement à la place de l’histoire au sein de la sphère publique et de poser un regard critique sur les nouvelles approches en histoire. Nous vous invitons également à revisiter vos objets de recherche en fonction de son utilité et/ou de ses particularités. Les personnes intéressées peuvent soumettre leur proposition de communication avant le 15 décembre 2017.

  Encoding Data for Digital Collaboration (ASOR 2016)

  Data encoding entails an analog-to-digital conversion in which the characteristics of an object, text, or archaeological site can be represented in a specialized format for computer handling. Once encoded, data can be stored, sorted, and analyzed through a variety of computer-based techniques ranging from specialized data-mining algorithms to user-friendly mobile apps. Especially when encoded data is open-source, researchers around the world can collaborate on the collection, encoding, and analysis of data.
