  The politics and poetics of museology

  40th annual ICOFOM symposium

  It has become rather banal to speak of the museum as a place of power. Whether one refers to it as media, as medium, or as device, we must understand that this institution, emblematic of occidental civilization, has always aroused the interests of local political régimes, whatever they may be. The creation of the British Museum and the birth of the Louvre illustrate the many different ways the public has of seeing the links between knowledge and collections. Furthermore the advent of each new political régime (from democracy in America to the Marxist-Leninist system in the Soviet Union, passing by fascist Italy and national-socialist Germany) marks museums with its imprint, as well as its system of communication, preservation and research.

  Inductive approaches in anthropology

  Dans ce numéro Approches inductives en anthropologie les propositions d’articles pourront être faites sur les approches inductives et la méthodologie du travail intellectuel en anthropologie, sur l’usage des approches inductives lors de  terrains locaux, sur  les critères de validité et la reconnaissance disciplinaire de telles recherches, sur les modalités de réalisation et la reconnaissance des approches inductives en recherches anthropologiques institutionnelles, etc. Ce numéro portera donc sur les approches inductives en anthropologie et sur leurs défis lors de recherches locales. Les directeurs du numéro sont intéressés par les contributions empiriques, méthodologiques, épistémologiques et critiques et sont ouverts aux propositions interdisciplinaires.

  Ethnographical vigilance

  La démarche ethnographique suppose de composer avec les singularités et contingences du terrain d’enquête. Ce colloque vise à ouvrir le débat sur la vigilance forte qu’appelle l’ethnographie, à travers des récits d’enquête critiques et réflexifs qui éclairent la manière selon laquelle la démarche se construit dans les interactions entre le chercheur et son terrain, par tâtonnements successifs.
