  Ce colloque propose de poser à nouveau la question de la neutralité en science (neutralité des artisans, de la démarche, des méthodes, du langage, des résultats, des publications) : est-elle possible ? Souhaitable ? Indispensable ? Est-ce un leurre ? Une fiction ? Un artifice ? Le colloque abordera ces questions dans quatre axes : épistémologique, politique, éthique et sociétal.

  The politics and poetics of museology

  40th annual ICOFOM symposium

  It has become rather banal to speak of the museum as a place of power. Whether one refers to it as media, as medium, or as device, we must understand that this institution, emblematic of occidental civilization, has always aroused the interests of local political régimes, whatever they may be. The creation of the British Museum and the birth of the Louvre illustrate the many different ways the public has of seeing the links between knowledge and collections. Furthermore the advent of each new political régime (from democracy in America to the Marxist-Leninist system in the Soviet Union, passing by fascist Italy and national-socialist Germany) marks museums with its imprint, as well as its system of communication, preservation and research.

  Issues and debates in the French-speaking world

  Les questions relatives aux liens entre recherche scientifique et action politique sont récurrentes dans les sciences sociales, que l’on songe à Weber, Habermas, Bourdieu ou Latour.  Depuis quelques années, la recherche en éducation s’est elle aussi emparée des enjeux inhérents à l’usage par le politique de ses propres productions : Poupeau ou Van Zanten. L’intérêt de ce colloque est d’interroger les formes peut-être nouvelles du rapport entre scientifique et politique dans un contexte de gouvernance post-bureaucratique des institutions éducatives qui modifie substantiellement les liens structurels, les attentes et les interactions entre les différents acteurs du système éducatif dans son ensemble (chercheurs de l’éducation compris).
