Memory of Migrations and Diasporas / Family Memories of Mass Violence and Slavery
International Sociological Association forum of sociology 2020
For the IVth ISA (International Sociological Association) Forum that will take place in Porto Alegre, Brazil, we organize two sessions with the Research Committee Historical Sociology. We would like to welcome contributors from a wide variety of research fields in order to discuss issues related to social, cultural and collective memory. One of the sessions will focus on migrations and diasporic experiences, in particular on family memories. The second session is about intergenerational transmission in families in contexts of mass violence, slavery or war.

Music, Tradition and Creativity in the Digital Era
New Ethnomusicological Perspectives From the Global South
This Symposium will explore how digital media and new technologies have affected the ways through which musicians, producers and researchers experiment and engage with "traditional" musical forms, in Colombia and in other parts of the world. The participants are invited to share their research results and methodological experimentations in the field of applied ethnomusicology, music pedagogy, performance, digital audio production or digital humanities about the study of the impact of digital technologies about current musical practices. This Symposium will also include the presence of several local musicians and producers who will conduct workshops on "traditional" Colombian music and music from other countries of the global South.

Perspectives afro-décoloniales. Enjeux pratiques et théoriques
« Représentations des Africains et personnes d’ascendance africaine dans les manuels scolaires »
Ce colloque-atelier est le fruit des résultats d'un précédent colloque qui a eu lieu à Saint-Louis à l'université Gaston Berger au Sénégal. Son objectif ne sera pas la création de manuels scolaires au format papier mais la création d’une plateforme digitale où les membres du réseau pourront mettre en ligne des supports de tous types (textes, photos, vidéos, audio, peintures, etc.) en rapport avec les cultures africaines et afro-diasporiques. Ainsi, chaque enseignant, animateur culturel, artiste, éducateur aura accès aux sources primaires partout dans le monde. Cependant, cette initiative n’empêche pas à postériori la création de livres au format papier. C’est pourquoi l’optique de cette rencontre sera beaucoup plus ciblée sur les pratiques pédagogiques et didactiques.

L’Institut français d’études andines propose plusieurs bourses d’aides à la mobilité d’une durée variable, allant de 3 à 9 mois, éventuellement renouvelables. Elles sont destinées aux étudiants de Master 2 Recherche inscrits en thèse et aux doctorants dans l’une des disciplines relevant des sciences humaines et sociales ou des sciences de la vie pour des séjours de recherche en Bolivie, Colombie, Équateur et/ou au Pérou.

Uno de los principales propósitos del conversatorio es acercar a investigadores y estudiantes los debates y problemáticas que tienen lugar en el campo de la literatura y el arte digital desde una perspectiva analítica, crítica y reflexiva, orientando el pensamiento hacia el ámbito específico de la producción artificial de sensibilidades, con el objetivo de afianzar el crecimiento y el desarrollo de un área de estudios aún incipiente.

Rewriting: logic of repetition?
III International Conference in Narratives
The third International Conference in Narratives, organized by Universidad EAFIT (Medellín, Colombia) and Università degli Studi di Padova, proposes rewriting as an object of reflection from the arts, humanities, social sciences and communication sciences. To interrogate the gesture of writing a text again, it involves accounting for an operation that, in its apparent simplicity, shows the experience of time and repetition, the recording of memory, the tension between imitation and difference, and the means of reproduction and creation. Along its relationships, objects and notions that it implies, the gesture of rewriting is exemplary and heuristic; it has become a model for understanding various phenomena and cultural practices.

Os Estudos acadêmicos brasileiros no âmbito dos Estudos da Tradução, tem-se caracterizado nas últimas décadas por uma intensa produção bibliográfica, tanto teórico-acadêmica quanto de traduções. Além disso, as pesquisas nos Estudos da Tradução no Brasil têm assumido um caráter sempre mais transdisciplinar com contribuições advindas da Antropologia, da Crítica Genética, da História Social e Política, da Sociologia, entre outras disciplinas. Convidamos todos os tradutores e os pesquisadores brasileiros, que atuam nesses âmbitos de reflexão e produção, a enviarem seus trabalhos para este número temático da nossa revista voltado aos Estudos da Tradução no Brasil.

Desafios que as crianças lançam à etnografia
O CIIE da FPCEUP e CRIA/FCSH-UNL estão a organizar o seminário internacional "Pesquisa e Infância: desafios que as crianças lançam à etnografia". A iniciativa irá realizar-se no Porto (Portugal), nos dias 3 e 4 de Novembro de 2011. O período de submissão de propostas decorre até ao dia 30 de Setembro de 2011.
