1956-1958: A revolutionary period that changed Africa (and the world)
The objective of this panel is to compare the various social mobilizations that took place in Africa during the years 1956-1958 and which arguably constitute a historical watershed. The main aim of the panel is not the making of an abstract comparative analysis, but the analysis, based on the testimonial material collected, of how the memory of these events has been structured over time. Moreover, we are interested in understanding what the impacts of these social movements were on the structuring of states and what continuities can be found between the mobilizations of that period and the ary social mobilizations that have shaken the continent in the last ten years, from the ‘Arab Spring’ of 2011 onwards.

The cultural heritage of ports
Dans une perspective internationale et avec des approches méthodologiques différentes, ce quatrième colloque international sur le patrimoine culturel portuaire vise à approfondir les expériences de préservation des paysages portuaires. Le champ de présentation des recherches porte également sur le devenir des relations entre le port et la ville, d'un point de vue interdisciplinaire et inter-institutionnel. Le choix du musée Benito Quinquela Martín à Buenos Aires comme lieu de rencontre revêt une importance particulière en raison de la place de La Boca, premier port de l'histoire argentine.

Thinking the right wing in Latin America in the 20th century
Cet événement vise à poursuivre les discussions entamées lors du premier symposium « Penser les droites en Amérique latine au XXe siècle », qui s’est tenu à Paris en janvier 2014. À l’instar de ce premier événement, nous voulons contribuer à l'élaboration d'une réflexion universitaire sur les droites, leurs promoteurs et défenseurs, leurs organisations, leurs idées et leurs pratiques. À cette fin, nous invitons les chercheurs issus de différentes sciences sociales et humaines à soumettre des articles qui nous permettent de mieux connaître les organisations, les idées et les identités des droites latino-américaines au XXe siècle.

À luz da complexa relação entre história e memória, o dossiê Entre história e memória no cinquentenário do golpe de 1964 – nº 10 (dezembro/2014) proposto pela Revista Crítica Histórica tem a finalidade de suscitar o debate em torno de questões relacionadas ao golpe civil-militar de 1964 e a ditadura que se iniciou a partir daí, vinculando acontecimentos passados à manifestação de seus feitos e legados em períodos posteriores. Portanto, através desta chamada, convidamos pesquisadores a contribuírem com seus trabalhos e reflexões sobre o tema. Ademais, o convite se estende também àqueles interessados em contribuir com as seções de fluxo contínuo, resenhas, documentação, ensaios, entrevistas (ver as seções que compõe a Revista Crítica Histórica).

Call for papers for the Uruguayen Journal
Hace ya varias décadas que los estudios históricos han trascendido las fronteras nacionales para pensar las modalidades en que los procesos locales se ven afectados por acontecimientos globales. Más recientemente, nuevos enfoques han propuesto escalas de análisis y objetos de estudio que enfatizan los intercambios transnacionales por sobre las historias estrictamente nacionales y las relaciones entre los Estados. La Guerra Fría es un caso paradigmático para examinar las maneras en que un fenómeno político global alteró las dinámicas en todos los rincones del mundo a través de variados fenómenos de transnacionalización. Contemporánea convoca a investigaciones originales que estudien las formas en que actores e instituciones locales o globales circularon a nivel transnacional en esa etapa y afectaron actividades de tipo político, cultural, intelectual y económico en América Latina.
