Family morphologies: Leone and Natalia Ginzburg in Italian and European literature and culture
Focusing on the works by Leone (1909-1944) and Natalia Ginzburg (1916-1991) the Summer School is dedicated to a reflection on the authors’ contribution to the 20th century Italian and European history. Besides a critical analysis of their creative and intellectual activity and their civic engagement, the participants will have the opportunity to debate the role both Leone and Natalia had in the publishing house Einaudi, and to experiment new methods of teaching literature. The program includes 3 plenary lessons and 5 seminars. Special guest: Carlo Ginzburg.Language of the activities: Italian.

Autocephalous churches and independence in eastern Slav churches (10th-20th centuries)
Practices of independence and entity relationships between units, schisms and sister churches
Par définition, l’Église est « une ». Sous l’apparente simplicité de la qualification se loge une souplesse remarquable de pensées et de pratiques de l’unité, qui se sont déployées au cours de l’histoire dans diverses directions. L’autocéphalie est l’une d’elles et renvoie à l’origine, dans le cadre du christianisme oriental, aux archevêques et aux métropolites élus localement sans requérir l’intervention d’une instance supérieure. Toutefois, le terme a fini par désigner les Églises qui cherchent à faire reconnaître leur indépendance institutionnelle. Cette seconde session porte sur les enjeux ecclésiaux de l’autocéphalie : fonctionnement interne des Églises autocéphales, séparation d’avec le patriarcat de Constantinople, relations avec l’Église romaine et les Églises uniates.

AdriAtlas e la storia dello spazio adriatico antico (VI a.C. – VIII d.C.)
AdriAtlas è un programma internazionale dell’Agenzia nazionale per la ricerca (ANR) francese, volto a creare un atlante informatizzato dell’Adriatico nell’Antichità e nell’alto Medioevo, dal XI sec. a.C. alla metà del VIII sec. d.C.; ne fanno parte l’École française de Rome, l’Institut Ausonius di Bordeaux e il laboratorio M2ISA di Parigi. Questo convegno offre agli gli istituti coinvolti l’opportunità di fare un primo bilancio di AdriAtlas, con la partecipazione delle università di Macerata e di Foggia, impegnate da vari anni in Albania, e di confrontare le riflessioni e le esperienze dei ricercatori sullo spazio adriatico, considerato come oggetto di studio storico sul lungo termine.
