    ESA Research Network 28 - Society and Sport

    The aim of this midterm conference is to bring scholars, researchers, educators, students, professionals, and other groups interested in sports and physical activity to propose their works. The focus of this midterm conference lays in the challenges that sociology of sports and physical activity have to face to understand these new complex scenarios, the main issues we had to face, the successes, the criticalities and the lessons learned, the new horizons of our understandings of the social and cultural landscapes.

    International migrations and labour from the 70s to the present

    Since the 70s the presence of migrants in Europe, and especially in Italy, has become a structural issue and has been at the center of the public and political debate. The progressive demolition of welfare systems, the job precariousness, and new consumer lifestyles have generated different responses in terms of regulation of the admissions of foreign citizens in search of a job and their management (housing issues, access to health care, etc.). Both with regard to organization of forms of protection of immigrants in the exercise of theirs fundamental rights, especially in cases of serious discrimination and exploitation (immigrant associations, trade union action, etc.).

    The European publishing studies association (EuroPub) aims to foster the exchange of knowledge around the contemporary book trade. This three-day conference brings together industry professionals, educators, and scholars to examine key issues around the digital transformation of the book, as well as to discuss the developing field of publishing studies. In previous years we have discussed topics ranging from the evolution of cultural habits (Building audiences, 2016) to the development of publishing skills (Curation. A perspective on the book industry, 2017). By the Book 5 will focus on innovation in order to identify the nature and drivers of change within the industry.

Dans cette perspective, il entend proposer une réflexion sur la morphologie et sur la sémantique des noms de marques et de produit en tenant compte du système morphosémantique de la langue française, forcément en relation avec d’autres langues, tout aussi bien que d’autres éléments structuraux préexistants.

Les personnes et les choses sur les marchés médiévaux et modernes ». Cette thématique permettra de poursuivre et d’approfondir celles qui ont été développées les années précédentes (la valeur des choses, la pauvreté, les biens communs, les moyens de paiement). La question de la qualité se situe à la croisée de l’histoire et de la sociologie économique, permettant d’aborder aussi bien l’étude de mécanismes productifs et marchands que celle de savoir-faire.

    La quatrième école d’été d’histoire économique se propose d’aborder la question des moyens de paiement utilisés dans les échanges au Moyen Âge et à l’époque moderne, prolongeant ainsi une réflexion collective sur la valeur et sa mesure, ainsi que sur les moyens matériels et intellectuels à la disposition des agents pour réaliser au mieux leurs transactions. Cette question des supports de paiement et des modalités de leur utilisation, largement débattue ces dernières années par l’anthropologie et par l’économie, fait l’objet d’un traitement renouvelé en ce qui concerne la période préindustrielle.
