  Word(s) of children and rights of children (XXth-XXIst century)

  The multidisciplinary program EnJeu[x] Enfance et Jeunesse organises in Angers an International Colloquium about words and rights of the children (20^th-21^st centuries). The organisation committee is awaiting on one hand interventions which will propose a reflection on the sources, corpus, access to the data, methods and procedures of practitioners and researchers in the humanities and social sciences around the collection of the child's word; on the other hand monographs and case studies at different scales which present advancements in knowledge.

  Towards a history of children's rights in the 20th century

  Transnational approaches

  This symposium aims to explore how mobilization, knowledge, norms and institutions designed to further children's rights were articulated within transnational space. These rights straddle different fields: law and justice, social policy, education and leisure, public health and humanitarian intervention, etc. The symposium plans to examine the social practices and the construction of the sphere of child advocacy. It also aims to reconstitute the historical experience of the actors, in particular the role of the children themselves in constituting their rights by marshaling the concept of citizenship.

  Valeurs et justice

  Écarts et proximités entre société et monde judicaire, du Moyen Âge au XVIIIe siècle

  Les références du monde de la justice et celles de la société ont en commun de comporter des valeurs morales. Mais il existe une culture spécifique des cours judiciaires, dont les références touchent aux rituels et aux procédures, spécialement quand un droit savant s’est imposé. Nous proposons donc d’étudier les différences entre le monde moral de la justice et les valeurs et références de la société. Cela implique notamment des distinctions entre les différents types de cours, et entre les systèmes juridiques. Dans les cours locales, l’adéquation entre les référents sociaux et ceux de la juridiction est plus importante. Lorsque des procédures complexes se fondent sur le droit romain ou le droit canonique, lorsque les praticiens de la justice tendent à devenir des spécialistes, la loi paraît plus distante de la société. Au total, on se demandera si, entre les termes d’écarts et de proximités, l’un ne tend pas à l’emporter sur l’autre.
