    Lusophone mobilities: between past and present, which future?

    6th Conference of the Portuguese Association of Anthropology - panel T047

    This panel is meant to discuss these migrating populations’ mobility procedures in lusophone countries, while seeking to construct through the different presentations a broaden mosaic of reflexions about when and how these populations have moved, and how they have used and instrumentalized the "imagined" and politically constructed idea of a "lusophone community".

    Conversas urbanas

    As Conversas Urbanas juntam doutorandos, investigadores, e docentes de uma variedade de disciplinas para discutir investigação sobre cidades, cultura, e arquitetura, num âmbito cronológico e geográfico abrangente. Este ciclo é organizado pelo Núcleo de Estudos sobre Cidades, Culturas e Arquitetura (CCArq). As cidades, o urbanismo e a arquitetura, bem como as reflexões sobre os patrimónios e as culturas que lhes estão associadas constituem o objeto plural deste núcleo do CES. Centrado nas mais recentes questões e dinâmicas socioculturais urbanas, o trabalho que aqui se alberga convida ao desenvolvimento de um corpus teórico e metodológico criativo e interdisciplinar, com vista a oferecer respostas concretas a problemas reais, nacionais e internacionais.

    Placing culture in sustainable development: policies, strategies and processes

    The aim of the COST Action IS1007 Symposium is to give an overview of the policy contextwhere culture meets sustainable development, and of the strategies and processes whichguide culturally sustainable development at local, regional, national and transnational levels.Moreover, during the Symposium the participants will identify and establish “thematicclusters” on various topics of cultural sustainability, which will serve as forums for futurecollaborative work. The goal of the COST Action "Investigating Cultural Sustainability" is to increase understanding of and determine the role of culture in sustainable development based on multidisciplinary principles and approaches.
