  Circulation and Scientific Institutions

  The Americas, Western Europe, South Asia (1750s-1914)

  While historians should take into account the movements in space that constantly transform sciences, they should not lose sight of the specific locations dedicated to the daily work of scientists. In scientific facilities (museums, laboratories, hospitals, etc.), modern scientists use their research instruments, meet with members of their networks, teach, and interact with various actors from outside of their scientific community. Participants in this symposium will seek how to write the history of this dynamic between circulation and institutions of science.

  The Ruins of the Heritagization

  The aim of ‘Ruins of the Heritagization’ is to institute an archeology of territories considered as being ‘heritage’ focusing the "ruins" produced by the process of labelling cities. ‘Ruins of the Heritagization’ will be set in two moments of reflection, in Rio de Janeiro and in Paris. They will allow the mobilization of efforts to focus on what in the speeches and patrimonial practices is perceived as "saved" while being, at the same time, what trivializes a local economy, promotes the destruction of informal settlements, or still, transforms radically established practices. Relating what labeling leaves on the territories, which territories it produces and leaves as inheritance will be the subject of these meetings.

  Nos dias 23 e 24 de outubro, o Grupo Direitos Humanos e Saúde Helena Besserman (Dihs), da Escola Nacional de Saúde Pública Sergio Arouca (ENSP), realiza um evento que congrega a sétima edição do Seminário Internacional Direito e Saúde e a 11ª edição do Seminário Nacional Direito e Saúde. Com o tema Direitos Humanos, Saúde e Movimentos Sociais, o encontro visa reunir pesquisadores, educadores e estudantes para debate de assuntos relacionados à saúde, democracia, direitos humanos e justiça.
