Sociedades científicas, associações profissionais, organizações não-governamentais que se dedicam à promoção da cultura científica, há um grupo alargado de associações, algumas recentes, outras centenárias, algumas nacionais, outras internacionais, que se podem classificar sob o rótulo de associações científicas.
