  Publication of books in e-book format

  Centro Interdisciplinar de História, Culturas e Sociedades (CIDEHUS) has a collection of books with peer review: Biblioteca: Estudos e Colóquios – intended to the publication of monographic works. This collection has an international scientific committee and an editorial committee, in addition to an adviser. Every year, this collection makes an open call to the academic community in general and not only to the members of CIDEHUS for publication purposes. This is the 2018 call. The works, however, will almost assuredly only be published in 2019.

  Web of knowledge – A look into the past, embracing the future

  The congress aims to bring together researchers and scientists from different backgrounds intersecting with the social sciences revealing the visible and invisible networks. By fostering the exchange of knowledge and experiences in the study of the past, the congress expects to lay the framework for the present day science on which to map the future web of knowledge. This congress intends to meditate on science, and to understand how it is being constructed nowadays. Our focus is to approach questions such as: How do we do/communicate science, immediate science, open access, intellectual property, bioethics, cultural heritage, among others.

  Biographical and Intellectual History of Science, Technology and Innovation

  Philosophical perspectives and political visions

  This is an International Conference of advanced training and postgraduate education and research in the History of Science field, although following an interdisciplinary and collaborative perspective, open to a specialized public as well as other interested and general public. Our main purpose is to value the biographical methodology approach in academic training and scholarly research, not just for the historiographic practice, where it is of increasing interest the conjunction between History of Science and Intellectual History, but also with regard to broader contexts of production and incorporation of knowledge both by the concerned communities and by a socially and publicly responsible society.

  Internacionalização da ciência e internacionalismo científico

  Este II Encontro HetSci tem como principal objectivo o estudo historiográfico dos fenómenos modernos da internacionalização científica num período lato e heterogéneo, compreendendo as suas especificidades, evocando abordagens de carácter diverso, desde a epistemológica, à dos processos de criação científica ou de institucionalização cultural, agentes e políticas que contribuíram para a sua promoção e/ou constrangimento durante as diferentes conjunturas históricas dos séculos XIX e XX.
