Art Markets : An Integrated Perspective 2020
International Summer School - Antwerp-Brussels July 6-10, 2020
Inspired by the success of the first Art Markets Summer School held in Lyon in June 2019, a second edition of this unique research, training and networking experience will take place in July 2020 in Belgium. A team of international experts from relevant fields such art history, economics, sociology, finance and digital humanities will engage with participants with an academic or professional interest in the global art market. An exciting program combining lectures, workshops and field trips will familiarize the participants with the nature and structure of the art market system. Attention will be given to the theoretical and conceptual frameworks, the various actors in the art market and the available methodological tools to study this fascinating yet complex phenomenon. This immersive experience will inspire and shape new interdisciplinary thinking about the emergence, history and dynamics of art markets around the world.

Summer School in Global and Transnational History: Debating the Past in an Age of Global Disruption
The Department of History and Civilization (HEC) at the European University Institute (EUI) is happy to announce its sixteenth Summer School in Global and Transnational History, which will take place in September 2020 in the historic Villa Salviati, looking out over the hills of Florence. The Summer School will combine discussion of methodological issues in global, transnational and comparative history with case studies by leading specialists from the European University Institute and other major universities.

Third doctoral session of energy history
Cette année, le Comité d’histoire de l’électricité et de l’énergie organise la troisième édition de ses Doctoriales de l’histoire de l’énergie à destination de jeunes chercheurs affiliés à des institutions de recherche en Europe et dans le monde. Le thème retenu pour cette édition est Énergie et patrimoine. Conçues comme une summer school, les doctoriales se veulent un creuset multidisciplinaire pour les doctorants et post-doctorants en sciences humaines et sociales s’intéressant à l’histoire de l’énergie. Elles doivent leur permettre de renforcer leur connaissance du champ, mais aussi leurs réseaux, à travers l’échange avec des chercheurs confirmés, des séances de travail collectif et des expériences partagées.
