2nd Egyptology study day devoted to the reading of images

Après avoir étudié la relation qui, dans l'art égyptien, unit l'image et l'écriture, la deuxième journée d'études consacrée à la lecture de l'image égyptienne portera cette année sur les dénominations et les modes de représentation, autant d'éléments qui permettent, entre autres, de déterminer la nature et la fonction des images reproduites dans les contextes sacrés que sont la tombe et le temple.

Textos das pirâmides. Textos dos sarcófagos

A produção de literatura funerária teve lugar em todos os períodos da história do antigo Egipto, sendo constituída sobretudo por textos inscritos nas paredes dos túmulos ou gravados em objectos tumulares, como sarcófagos e papiros. Estes textos, que representam o género de corpus mais amplo de todos os géneros do antigo Egipto, funcionariam como auxiliares para o morto atingir o Além na companhia dos deuses.

Ritual practices in Ancient Sudan: gestures, words and furnishings

In the continuity of two workshops set at University Paris-Sorbonne - Paris in 2011 and at University Charles-de-Gaulle - Lille 3 in 2013, this colloquium will gather the young French-speaking actors of archaeology in Sudan, as well as senior researchers, for two days of discussion around a common theme. In this case, the participants are invited to exchange on the "Ritual practices in Ancient Sudan".
