  Society, nature and biodiversity

  Comparative perspectives on the social representations of nature

  Alors que les scientifiques du monde entier alertent l’opinion publique sur les risques induits par la « sixième extinction massive », la question se pose de savoir comment ce message est perçu par la population. En effet, deux conceptions du problème peuvent être distinguées : la première s’ancre dans un registre scientifique (biodiversité) tandis que la seconde renvoie davantage aux expériences individuelles (nature). Soucieux d’explorer en profondeur la place qu’occupe la nature dans l’imaginaire collectif des Français, le Commissariat général au développement durable (CGDD) souhaite élaborer une synthèse des travaux menés en sciences humaines et sociales sur cette question. Cette publication collective paraîtra au quatrième trimestre 2021.

  Zone: the space of a life on the margins

  Espaces et sociétés

  While the everyday of "suburban youth" occupies the attention of French sociologists, the other face of the youths that have been relegated to "dropouts" (“zonards”) remains virtually invisible in terms of the social sciences. This issue aims to provide a first synthesis of French work on “the zone” as an area of life on the margins, and a presentation of pioneering English-language research in this field of study. This will be explore the range or meanings of  experiments whose originality derives from a shared nomadic lifestyle, keeping a distance from institutions, as well as normative territories. The expected proposals will favor the investigation of spaces and the constituent cultures of dropouts (squatters, punks, ravers ...).

  2nd annual seminar of the Migrations seminar

  Nous aborderons lors de ce séminaire annuel l’expérience migratoire aux prismes de la parole des premiers concernés et des dispositifs qui la façonnent, au cours de deux journées ainsi rassemblées sous la thématique « L’expérience migratoire : de la parole aux dispositifs ». Ces deux journées seront en partie dédiées à la vie du réseau et à la création d’un espace informel de discussion pour les chercheurs dans les études migratoires, dans la continuité des premiers événements scientifiques organisés par le réseau depuis juin 2014. L'idée est de créer un cadre informel d'échanges et de discussions où tous les participants pourront évoquer leurs travaux et leurs réflexions, parallèlement et au-delà de la thématique fixée pour l’événement.

  Interdisciplinary Forum of Young Researchers about the issue the Alps of tomorrow

  Dislivelli Association is pleased to announce the second edition of the Interdisciplinary Forum of Young Researchers about the issue the Alps of tomorrow. The Forum is organized by Dislivelli Association in collaboration with Interateneo Territorio Department of Polythecnic of Turin and Philosophy and Education Department of University of Turin, with the support of the Permanent Secretariat of Alpine Convention and the Province of Turin. This biennial Forum aims at giving to the new generation of researchers the chance to meet up, to divulge their researches on the alpine territory and to discuss the emerging issues of contemporary Alps.
