  Urban planning and the principle of equality in Africa

  Today, the African city is far from offering equivalent conditions and opportunities to all its inhabitants and many Africans found it difficult to access urban life. Social inequalities are becoming more and more spatial, and both strengthen each other to favour devastating territorial segregation regimes and spaces of violence, pollution, congestion and lawlessness. In terms of justice and equity, many cities and neighbourhoods suffer under an urban disorder, an infernal mechanism of informal housing, poor housing, difficult accessibility, and a very poor quality of the urban environment. In the name of the right to the city, one is entitled to build his dwelling, to invent his habitat anywhere, no matter how whenever the authority is failing. And yet, the inhabitants of these «informal» facilities are not entitled to the city: their city is not theirs.

  Lancée par Sa Majesté le Roi au printemps 2005 et définie comme un chantier de règne, l’Initiative nationale pour le développement humain (INDH) s’est fixée comme finalité ultime la réduction des déficits en matière de développement humain. Le défi était d’impulser un projet global de convergence des politiques publiques dans le but de développer une véritable ingénierie sociale en se basant sur l'innovation dans les types d'intervention selon les logiques d’efficacité et d’efficience.Ce colloque favorisera la rencontre des professionnels et des chercheurs de différentes disciplines et contribuera à fédérer leurs travaux autour de ces questionnements et à confronter leurs expériences et leurs analyses sur les acquis de l’INDH en relation avec l’Économie sociale et solidaire (ESS) au Maroc, les difficultés et les perspectives notamment dans les régions enclavées.

  Justice and politics in the post-Arab revolution Maghreb

  After years as a space of authoritarian exception, the Arab world became a space of "revolution". The outcome has proven meager at best: most authoritarian regimes have managed to muzzle protest movements. Only Tunisia seems engaged in a process of transition, relaying and integrating key political constituencies. Given such a configuration, we will examine the various modes by which relations of Justice and political power have been articulated in recent years in Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia.

  Migrations: comparative perspectives

  L’objectif du séminaire est de proposer un espace d’échanges autour de récents travaux de recherche sur la question des migrations. S’appuyant sur la présence de plusieurs enseignant-e-s-chercheur-e-s de l’université Paris-Ouest Nanterre travaillant sur ce sujet, il vise à favoriser le dialogue entre différentes disciplines (histoire, sociologie, science politique, droit, anthropologie et économie) et à décloisonner la question migratoire des ancrages disciplinaires. Il s’agit également de valoriser les jeunes chercheur-e-s, doctorant-e-s et docteur-e-s, qui trouveront un lieu de discussion, à la fois rigoureux et bienveillant, de leurs travaux de recherche. Une certaine place est accordée aux travaux de recherche portant sur les politiques publiques et leurs implications juridiques, à l’État et à l’administration, objets qui facilitent la confrontation des disciplines.
