  Geoarchaeology and archaeology of the city of Cádiz, Spain

  This workshop-seminar organised in Strasbourg will be focusing on the archaeology and geoarchaeology of Cádiz. New sedimentary cores drilled in a marine palaeochannel crossing the city in Antiquity will be discussed. Researchers from the University of Cádiz, the CNRS, the ENGEES, and the University of Strasbourg will be present.

  Franges urbaines et confins territoriaux, la Gaule dans l'Empire

  « Périphérie », « périurbain », « franges », « confins »... sont autant de termes désignant ce qui borde, entoure, cerne, une entité spatiale comme l'agglomération urbaine ou un territoire de cité. Nous nous interrogerons sur la validité de tels termes, sur ce qu'ils supposent et définissent. La Gaule sera au centre des débats mais Rome et l'Afrique du Nord seront également abordés pour enrichir les points de vue.
