  Lost and Transformed Cities: a digital perspective

  The city is by definition a living entity. It translates itself into a collectiveness of individuals who share and act on a material, social and cultural setting. Its history is one of dreams, achievements and loss. As such, it also bears a history of identity. To know the history of cities is to understand our own place in the contemporaneity. The past is always seen through the eyes of the present and can only be understood as such. On the occasion of the 261^st anniversary of the 1755 earthquake in Lisbon, we invite scholars and experts in the fields of heritage studies, digital humanities, history, history of art and information technology to share and debate their experience and knowledge on digital  heritage.

  XIIth World Congress on Earthen Architectures (Terra 2016)

  Terra 2016 is the twelfth in a series of international events organised since 1972, bringing together academics, professionals and experts, and a broad audience gathering around earthen architectures. The congress is organised under the aegis of the ISCEAH Committee of ICOMOS international, in the framework of the UNESCO World Heritage Earthen Architecture Programme (WHEAP). The 2016 edition will focus mainly on issues dealing with sustainable development, particularly in urban areas. This event will gather more than 800 participants from the fields of heritage conservation, archeology, architecture and urban planning, engineering, social sciences, as well as fields related to local sustainable development and crisis intervention.

  La cathédrale Saint-Etienne d'Auxerre

  Après plusieurs années de recherches historiques et archéologiques sur la cathédrale Saint-Étienne d’Auxerre, un colloque est prévu fin septembre 2007 pour présenter les résultats au public et aux scientifiques. L’importante restauration lancée en 2000 a fourni l’occasion de campagnes archéologiques de grande ampleur menées, sous l’égide du Centre d’études médiévales, par des archéologues, des historiens d’art et des doctorants attachés à ARTeHIS UMR 5594 du Centre national de la Recherche scientifique. Des campagnes de relevés des portails ont été faites avec la collaboration de l’Université de Stuttgart (Allemagne). Ce travail interdisciplinaire, réunissant plusieurs laboratoires CNRS et universitaires, est aujourd’hui unique en France. C’est en effet la première fois qu’un édifice aussi important est analysé avec des résultats pour certains spectaculaires, et dans une démarche qui pourrait servir de modèle méthodologique.
