Intercultural exchange in the age of globalization, second edition
In the context of today’s social, political and economic changes, power is one of the governing principles of culture. Power comes in many shapes and sizes and it manifests itself under various forms: it can be tyrannical or a combination of forces (Foucault); it can be charismatic, traditional and rational (Weber) or the opposite – manipulative; it can also appear as a system of diluted forces that spring from the “social field” (Bourdieu); it can remain in the unconscious or it can manifest itself in the speech act. However it may appear, it has become clear that power shapes the course of the creation, interpretation and analysis of literary texts and other cultural products.

War and violence from Antiquity to the Middle Ages
Cette journée d’études sera consacrée au thème de la « violence guerrière ». Son objectif est de présenter des travaux, achevés ou en cours, sur l’usage et la représentation de cette dernière. Dans une perspective transdisciplinaire, le choix de ce thème questionne la richesse de ses appréhensions et ouvre des discussions sur les divergences et les similarités de celles-ci à travers des sources (textes, images, architectures et objets mobiliers) et des périodes (Antiquité et Moyen Âge) diverses.

The editorial board of "Forma. Revista d’Humanitats" journal is pleased to inform that the call for the reception of articles, reviews, critics and states of the Art for their publication in the next monographic number: Language and alterity. Limits and excesses in the construction of meaning is currently open. In this number we expect to stimulate a debate within the humanistic disciplines revolving around problématiques stirred by the types of comprehension and artistic representation, the experiences and languages of the ineffable, poetic obscurity, autonomy and transgression of the resources of artistic expression, excess and horror. These experiences and languages, in their transgression and excess of the artistic normative structures, promote studies concerning their difference and alterity in relation to the traditional models of comprehension and representation.

Les vingt dernières années ont vu la dissolution de l’URSS, de la Yougoslavie et de nombreuses guerres et conflits ont agité la planète dans différentes régions du monde (Irak, Afghanistan, Tchétchénie, Israël, Palestine, Somalie, etc...). Le colloque propose de s’intéresser aux différents moyens esthétiques mis en œuvre pour représenter la guerre : films, romans, récits, bandes dessinées, photographie, reportages. -

Ce colloque se propose d'organiser un espace de réflexion rassemblant des universitaires (spécialistes des domaines concernés, historiens et philosophes de l’art, de l’éducation et du politique) ; des artistes (plasticiens, musiciens, poètes, chorégraphes, metteurs en scène, interprètes…) ; des pédagogues ; des journalistes politiques et des éditeurs engagés en alternant les moments de conférences, de débats, de spectacles, de films, de performances et d’expositions. L'objectif est de prendre acte des nouvelles tensions et de reconstruire le sens du politique, de l’art et de l’éducation en associant à la réflexion sur ces trois champs, celle sur les politiques éditoriales, sur les nouvelles formes d’expression artistiques, et sur les pratiques éducatives.
